Downtown Vancouver Ferris Wheel and Winter Fun
Destination Downtown brings light and fun to Vancouver with a Ferris Wheel, lit words, light installations, and performances from the waterfront to the heart of the city, December through February.

Downtown Vancouver Ferris Wheel and Winter Fun
Destination Downtown presents the Downtown Ferris Wheel at the Vancouver Art Gallery North Plaza from December 2, 2025 to January 3, 2026. See our festive city from high above the plaza! Thanks to the Downtown Vancouver BIA, you can ride the Ferris Wheel for free on Tuesdays (December 2, 9, 16, 23, and 30). Otherwise, rides are $7 each, and tickets can be purchased onsite.
The VANCOUVER sign will be back again this year along with other festive words – you can find MERRY right now at English Bay, at the West End Christmas Tree at 1800 Davie Plaza (at Denman).
The Robson Square Ice Rink will host performances, along with its traditional free skates. Rentals are $5.
Later in the Season…
From January 5 to February 28, visit several animal-themed lighting installations around Canada Place, and enter for your chance to win major prizes. Visit an animal, scan their tag to collect a digital stamp, and earn entry into the contests. While you’re there, continue on an evening stroll along the Coal Harbour seawall. Over 120 twinkling trees will illuminate your path between the Vancouver Convention Centre and Cardero Park (by the Westin). Follow Destination Downtown on Instagram for updates.
