Join an unforgettable summer experience with free summer concerts by the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra and Vancouver Opera at Deer Lake Park. Come early for family-friendly pre-shows and a great lineup of food trucks. Bring a blanket or chairs and settle in for a wonderful weekend of classical music in the park.
Parking in the vicinity is limited, so alternate transportation is recommended.
Symphony in the Park with the VSO

For more than 30 years, Symphony in the Park has been a summer favourite in Burnaby. On July 12, enjoy a program full of classical music performed by the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra, with songs from Star Wars, Jurassic Park, Howl’s Moving Castle, and more.
Opera in the Park with Vancouver Opera
- When: Sunday, July 13, 2025 from 7:30pm to 9:30pm
The Vancouver Opera Orchestra will perform an evening of duets, arias, and timeless music on July 13. The show features highlights from Verdi’s eternally thrilling Rigoletto, Mozart’s light-hearted Così fan tutte, Puccini’s most enduring story, La Bohème, and more!
