Vancouver Alpen Club Redevelopment Fundraiser & Event
The Vancouver Alpen Club is celebrating 90 years with a fundraiser event on June 27th to help keep the club alive as they await re-opening in November of 2026. The fundraiser campaign will kick-off with a community event on Friday, June 27th.

Vancouver Alpen Club History
The Vancouver Alpen Club was established by German, Swiss, and Austrian immigrants and the historic building was built in 1950. The Vancouver Alpen Club & Deutsches Haus Restaurant were demolished in 2023 to make way for a new development at its location on 33rd and Victoria Drive.

The venue is not only the home of the legendary Oktoberfest celebration, but also countless of other cultural and community-based functions and events. Over its long iconic and cherished history, it has touched and enriched the lives of untold thousands from local communities to far and wide across Canada and the world. The redevelopment is scheduled to be completed in late fall 2026.
