Metropolis at Metrotown’s highly anticipated Mother’s Day celebration “We Love Moms & Mother Nature” is back April 18 until May 19, 2025. From an epic indoor “glampsite” to the popular Mother’s Day party in the Grand Court, and you can enter to win tickets to a very special event on May 10th.

This year, the Met has teamed up with Decathlon, which celebrates its flagship store’s one-year anniversary at the shopping centre this spring, to enhance the ambience for moms and their loved ones.

The heart of the Met’s Mother’s Day festivities is the Grand Court, which will be transformed into an epic indoor glampsite. Supported by Decathlon, the site encompasses a tropical tiki bar; a tented grassland bedroom; a camp-inspired kitchen; and a beachside games room. There’s also a faux campfire with s’mores on select weekends (April 26 & May 3), as well as spot-the-wildlife-themed games for both kids and adults.

Crafted by the creative minds at local design studio Lazy Wizard, the Grand Court’s enchanting glampsite features a mountains-and-forest tableau with a whimsical hot air balloon suspended above. Enter through an inflatable tree and wander amid light-festooned trees and a charming campground.

Ahead of Mother’s Day, visitors to the Met as-of April 24th who spend $200 (before taxes) will get a $20 reward card. Plus, the Met will donate $5 for each redemption (up to $5,000) to the Burnaby Fire Department.

Mother’s Day Glampsite Party

On May 10th, kick off your Mother’s Day celebrations a day early at the Met’s ticketed bash, which invites guests of all ages to a midday fête with music, cocktails and wine, and light canapés. Amusements include DIY s’mores, woodland photo opportunities, craft-making, and a door prize. Plus, each adult will receive a gift bag to take home (complete with a Met $20 gift card).

Special event May 10th from 12:00pm to 2:00pm
Tickets $40 per adult and $5 for kids aged 5-15 years; kids 4 and under are free. Proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to Burnaby Family Life’s Women Driving Their Future program.
