5 Photo Ops at Christmas at Canada Place
byI love the waterfront in Vancouver, I love the festive season, and I love taking photos! All of these wonderfully combine, like a cup of hot chocolate with peppermint, at Christmas at Canada Place. Even though there are dozens of spots, here are my top 5 places for photos at this free attraction:
The Giant Bear (with Liven Up Coal Harbour)
Located right outside Canada Place by the Pan Pacific. I took this photo in the daytime but you’d get an even better shot a night.
The Avenue of Trees
A lovely selection of themed decorations hosted by local businesses and organizations.
Woodward’s Windows
The classics! Someone just asked me yesterday where the old Woodward’s Windows ended up and they’ve been at Canada Place in some form or another for the last two decades. They are beautifully restored – and fully animatronic – with all their vintage whimsy and delight.
Canada’s North Light Display (with Giant Moose)
A giant moose, a polar bear, sparkling stars, it’s the Great White North, eh? On a clear evening when the snow-capped mountains are in the distance you’ll have one epic Canadian photo op.
Sails of Light
The iconic sails at Canada Place are lit up for the season. Visit up close or admire from afar. I recommend up close of course so you can capture all of these other places and moments.
