 Imagine Van Gogh the ORIGINAL immersive exhibition in Image Totale© is now open at the Convention Centre. In consultation with local health authorities, Imagine Van Gogh is designed as a contactless experience and will have limited capacity, timed entries, and will operate in full accordance with British Columbia’s public health guidelines.

Imagine Van Gogh Opens in Vancouver

Created by French Artistic Directors Annabelle Mauger and Julien Baron – renowned for their work at Cathédrale d’Images in Les Baux-de-Provence – Imagine Van Gogh amazed audiences when it debuted in France with the art concept of Image Totale©.

Filling 25,000 square feet of the convention centre, this GRANDIOSE exhibit offers an immersive display of over 200 of the fabled artist’s paintings—from the familiar (“Sunflowers” and “The Starry Night”) to the intimate (“La Chambre de Van Gogh à Arles”) to the sublime (“The Red Vineyard”). It’s a unique and original adventure that turns vision into habitat, allowing the viewer to enter and roam the luminous dreamscapes conjured by Vincent Van Gogh, accompanied by the music of Prokofiev, Saint-Saëns, Schubert, Mozart, Satie, and more.

“Imagine Van Gogh is a journey, it is the path of the painter, from Provence to the edge of Paris known as Auvers-sur-Oise. It is in parallel with the path of each visitor, who finds their apotheosis in this exhibition,” says Artistic Director Annabelle Mauger.

Tickets have sold out twice already, with more available tomorrow, but you can also WIN YOUR WAY IN as I have a four-pack of tickets to give away to one lucky family or bubble.

    I think my previous comment was deleted, so I will rewrite both of them just in case. Sorry if I am spamming you.

    I have wanted to go to one of these for so long (this, and lighting candles into balloons or lanterns like in Tangled have been on my list since I was a kid). Then of course there’s that scene in Emily in Paris that didn’t just revive but quadrupled my need for this. I always thought I would have to wait until I figured out a way to New York to do it first, but somehow it’s actually here, in my city, in my home. That is just, so incredible. The pictures already stunt my breath, I can’t imagine what it looks like up close. It feels magical.

    Me again. I just wanted to say thank you for doing this. I hope I can take my mom and grandmother here for Mother’s day, they never treat themselves and haven’t ever seen anything like this. I think they would so, so truly love it. Flowers, his especially, never fail to touch them (P.S. I really hope my mom doesn’t see this. Mum: if you did, no you didn’t).
