Skyride Closure to Affect Grouse Grind in Early November

Add a Comment by Rebecca Bollwitt

All Grouse Grinders know that you can Grind up but you can’t Grind down, so the Grouse Mountain Skyride is your ticket back to base. However, starting Thursday, November 1, 2018 a hike on the Grouse Grind Trail in Grouse Mountain Regional Park will take twice as long. The Skyride will be closed from November 1 to 12, along with all mountaintop facilities, including restrooms and food service.

During this time, the only way down the mountain will be via the BCMC Route, which adds an extra two hours of hiking time. The Grouse Grind Trail is a one-way ascent – hiking down the trail is prohibited.

Because of shorter daylight hours, and to allow enough time for the return trip, the Grouse Grind Trail gate will close at 1:00pm daily from November 1 to 12, 2018.

For more info daily, check in with Grouse Mountain Resort on Facebook and Twitter.
