Previously held in Agassiz, and after a hiatus last year, Tulips of the Valley returns for 2017 to a new location in Chilliwack. Leasing the tulip fields from a farmer in Chilliwack, Onos Greenhouses Ltd will open over 20 acres of tulip fields to the public, making it the largest tulip festival in Western Canada. While on the fields you will also be able to enjoy fresh Dutch Stroopwafels and different food offerings from some local food trucks. Stop by the store to buy your fresh cut greenhouse tulips, potted tulips and photo cards.

Peter Warmerdam and his family immigrated from the Netherlands and settled in the Fraser Valley in 1950. Peter proudly brought his Dutch heritage, horticultural knowledge and farming experience to the Bradner area – here he would grow a few acres of daffodil flowers. His granddaughter Alexis came up with the idea for the Bloom Tulip Festival, so locals and tourists alike could stroll through our tulip fields and enjoy the breathtaking display of colour, along with other eye-catching activities in the field. Food trucks will be on site along with a children’s play area and other activities to enjoy before or after your stroll through the rainbow fields.

The Chilliwack (Greendale) Tulips of the Valley wins hands down as the best tulip showing in the area – and without the huge power lines overhead and all the traffic tie-ups at Whatcom Road (associated with the Abbotsford Blooms tulip show)
Just drive on through to exit 109 at Yale Road for the Tulips of the Valley – it’s wonderful. (And you can also have lunch at Dukes Pub or Royalwood Golf course right close by if you wanted something country style and different.)
