Peninsula Community Foundation is hosting its 23rd Vintage Affair fundraiser on Thursday, October 22nd at the Hazelmere Golf and Country Club. This year proceeds from ticket sales of this formal cocktail event will kick off a new fund aimed at building acceptance and creating action in the community around mental heath issues.

Vintage Affair is the cocktail event of the year and premier fundraiser for the Peninsula Community Foundation. Guests will enjoy a curated selection of wines from 30 local vintners paired with creative appetizers and a live DJ.
With the purchase of a ticket you will gain access to 30 vintners and delectable food pairings while enjoying entertainment by DJ Leanne. The evenings fundraising activities include: 1 in 75 chance to win a gorgeous right hand diamond ring, an auction of gift certificates from prestigious South Surrey and White Rock boutiques and a grand draw to win your choice of a climate controlled wine fridge filled with 100 bottles of wine, a car lease for one year and additional chances at the $2000 cash door prize.
The goal is to raise $50,000 through the sale of 375 tickets will allow the Peninsula Community Foundation to begin the grant intake in January 2016. This year’s event, dubbed Denim & Diamonds, intends to entice more local residents, young and old, to enjoy a great party, business networking and supporting their community.
About Peninsula Community Foundation
The Peninsula Community Foundation was established in 1998, inspired by the yearly success of Vintage Affair; first held in 1992. The Foundation, managed by a volunteer board, provides financial assistance to education, health care, family and community facilities programs.
To date, the Foundation has raised more than $1,000,000 in cash support to the area’s charities and non-profits. Recently, the event’s proceeds completed a six-year commitment for $500,000 towards The Centre For Active Living. Last year, $40,000 was granted to organizations including Semiahmoo House Society, Sources and Kidsport.
