Pemberton Music Festival Photos from Sunday
byTake the one of the most beautiful festivals setting in the world, add in tens of thousands of campers, some of the most talented musicians and artists that span dozen genres, a water slide, long table dinner, food trucks, craft beer, sunshine, and countless flower bandanas and you have a slight idea of the awesomeness that is Pemberton Music Festival. Over 115,000 music fans enjoyed nearly 120 performances by 113 artists from Wednesday to Sunday on 300 acres in an idyllic valley nestled between snow-dusted mountains.
John and I attended on Sunday, capturing the festival as best we could through sharing images and updates on social media. By the fifth and final day of the festival there were sunburns, broken sandals, and some matted hairdos but spirits were as high as ever.
Free water bottle refill stations kept everyone hydrated in the record-breaking 37C heat (along with a misting tent), and every spot of shade was occupied until a new artist hit the Bass Camp, Whistler, Mt Currie, Laugh Camp, or Pemberton Stage. Crowds migrated across the grounds, pumped up from a previous performance and excited for the next.

As the sun started to set, bass from all directions made your body move and those who had already been dancing all day kept the party going, invigorated and encouraged by the giant lasers that beamed across the valley and projected up onto the mountains to the south.
