Surrey Youth Basketball and Breakdance Showcase

The Surrey Youth Basketball and Breakdance Showcase is a free, full day event coming up on Saturday, May 2, 2015 at the Guildford Recreation Centre. It includes a city-wide youth basketball tournament, breakdance battles, a hip hop showcase, games, and more.

The event provides a unique opportunity for Surrey’s youth to get involved in their community and showcase their talents in a fun, safe and positive environment. Last year’s Basketball and Breakdance Showcase was a huge success with over 2,000 attendees. From basketball players, dancers, youth and family members, organizers are once again expecting a great turnout for this free event.

Activity Lineup

Saturday, May 2, 2015
Guildford Recreation Centre (15105 105 Ave, Surrey)
11:00am – 12:00pm: Wheel Chair Basketball and other drop-in basketball activities
12:00pm – 8:00pm: Basketball Tournament in Gyms 1 & 2, activities in main foyer
12:00pm – 6:00pm:– Basketball Tournament in Gym 3
Hip Hop Showcase during intermission
6:00pm – 8:00pm: Bboy Battles in Gym 3

Activities in the main foyer include a photobooth, caricature artist, DJ, I Am Game, giveaways, airbrush tattoos, sumo wrestling, and more.
