Since 2007 Record Store Day has celebrated the unique culture surrounding over 700 independently owned record stores in the US and thousands of similar stores internationally. Record stores participate with special events featuring live music, food, celebrities, and other activities on Saturday, April 20, 2013.

Zulu will be open extended hours, from 9:30am to 9:00pm and will be stacked with vinyl, CDs, and more along with contest giveaways. At 6:30pm the store will switch over to party mode and there will be live performances from The Belle Game, Portage and Main, and Malcolm Jack. Elysian Coffee will be on site with a pop-up shop, and R&B Brewing is also a sponsor.

Open 9:00am until late with performances from Allen Forrister, Factories And Alleyways, The Courtneys, The High Drops, Johnny de Courcy, No-See-Ums, The Evaporators / Thee Goblins, Nervous Talk, Lizard People, Crystal Swells, Baptists, and Jerk Store.

Open 11:00am to 6:00pm for Record Store Day with special releases and live performances from Nervous Talk, Zen Mystery Fogg, Spectres, Von Bingen, V Vecker Ensemble and Sex Church.
For most of these stores, special release and discount purchases are first-come, first-served with no holds. Some will be selling items at discounted prices through their website or through a later date. Check websites or call the individual stores for full details.
