Ahhhhh…. anywhere can be a good one, but if I have to pick just one, I love it in Kits, passing the volleyball are, near the small parking lot. Beautiful view of the beach from there and usually less crowded.

Its the perfect place to sit, run, play, or catch some gnarly rays. The parking and pretension are a bit of a pain, but it definitely beats the bummin rain 😉

My favourite place in all of Vancouver to soak up the sun is 100% Spanish Banks – right near the dog beach because my dog loves soaking up the sun too!
I’m sure it will be mentioned a thousand times but nothing beats walking your dog on the seawall, iced latte in hand.
I love the beaches in Vancouver and playing tennis in public tennis courts! I particularly love Kits Beach which has both 🙂

My favorite place to soak up some rays in Vancouver is just west of Sunset Beach at the south end of Nicola St. downtown. I think the small grassy hill there offers the best views of Vancouver in the summer.

Jericho Beach – well, Locarno really, just west of the jetty and the sailing club. Perfect sandy beach for toddlers to play with buckets and spades and paddle in the water while adults sit and relax, and plenty of shade nearby in the grassy park. And the views aren’t too bad either…

Favourite sun spots are Third Beach, Whytecliff Park and Lighthouse Park. Aahhhh!
Every year we try and get piece of grass in the same spot at the Vancouver Folk Fest. We lay out a blanket between to stages and I spend most of the day soaking up the sun and tunes. That’s is my favourite. For the rest of the summer it is by the water teaching my son (and myself) to fish.

Second Beach: there’s a playground, big grassy area, pool and beach. There’s something to suit everyone’s sun-soaking pleasure!
There are a few nice beaches in the Lower Mainland, but I really like my back yard. I can let the drinks flow without the worry of driving after and I don’t have to fight any large crowds. Win win situation! ~_^

UBC! during the summer time, UBC is best place to soak up the sun! OF course, sunscreen and hat and sunglasses are MUST while staying outside for long period of time 🙂 The green trees waving in a row when the cool breeze blow the leaves back and forth.. and yet the warmth of sunlight keeps you warm 🙂 It is best place to soak up the sun !!!!! Also, most of students are away on summer vacation so the quietness and peaceful scenery is perfect way to enjoy the summer weather in Vancouver ! Why is summer only 2-3 months in Vancouver :(:(:(
