BC Travel Tuesday: Week 11 April Point
For those of you who paid attention to this spring’s “BC Travel Tuesday” series, you may have noticed that I said we have 12 weeks of local travel giveaways… then we stopped at 10. The good news is that your math was right, we were missing two weeks and we’re ready to make up for our delay.
backyardbc is a new travel website designed specifically for residents of British Columbia. Essentially a “be a tourist in your own backyard” program, participating hotels & resorts offer residents of BC exclusive rates and specials, designed to motivate BCers to travel more within the Province. Just to recap, our previous giveaway destinations included: Oswego Hotel Victoria, Fairmont Empress Victoria, Hotel Grand Pacific Victoria, Painter’s Lodge Campbell River, Accent Inns Okanagan, Watermark Beach Resort Osoyoos, Inn at Laurel Point, Tigh-Na-Mara Seaside Spa Resort, Howe Sound Inn & Brewing and the Delta Ocean Pointe in Victoria. In total, we had over 4,200 entries and the prize packages were worth over $6,000. The final two destinations are just as exciting as the rest.

April Point is so beautiful and tranquil. I’ve enjoyed dinner there and would love to stay at the resort.

Never been to Quadra Island…there are so many islands and not enough time to visit each of them but I sure as heck am trying! So far just Galiano Island,Thetis Island as a kid and Vancouver Island a few times. I would definitely love to go fishing again.

I love Quadra Island I spent many a summer on the island growing up. I would love to visit again to relive my childhood memories.
Mr T and I visited Quadra Island many moons ago for a luscious romantic weekend. Quadra is gorgeous – clear water for spying on sea creatures, funky eateries & shops, and soul filling hiking trails. Love to rekindle the flames under the veil of a fishing trip. ;D

Our province is such a treasure, and everyone should get out and see more of it. A huge amount of public parkland, beaches, and wilderness. And luxury hotels and resorts to pamper yourself, since you saved the airfare!

I’ve never been to Quadra Island. Moved here in 1998 and have only been to the island once and didn’t even see very much so this would be awesome
I’ve been over to April Point just to check it out. It amazing. I did have a chance to eat in their restaurant once which overlooks the water..the food is amazing, the team is amazing, there is so much to do like rent scooters, enjoy walks along the water,fishing, while life adventure tours, a huge chess game which could could play..it was sweet. I would love to be able to experience it a little more than just a quick peek =). Thank you and good luck
9 years ago my husband and I had a mini honeymoon at April point, right after our wedding. I would love for two of my closest friends, who are deeply in love to experience the magic of April point too.
