Mink Chocolates – it's Chocolate to the Rescue
byI’ve been attempting to clear my schedule over the last few weeks so that I can begin working on a phenomenally huge project that will run me ragged for the rest of the month (and well into July). However between reviews to write, events to cover, websites to build, a house to keep clean, an office to maintain, and a husband that would love to spend some time with his wife, I haven’t been doing a good job clearing much of anything.
The other day I sat down with a coffee and opened up a bag of Mink Chocolates that were hand-delivered (thanks to Twitter). I paused, I savored, I relaxed… and all it seemed to take was 70% cocoa. Flavours included: Peace in Provence (French lavender & Grand Marnier), Mermaid’s Choice (burnt caramel, fleur de sel, rosemary), Key Lime (lime in white chocolate ganache… in dark chocolate), Tawny & Ruby Are Friends (Port in dark chocolate), Simply Charming (fig & balsamic vinegar), and Open in Case of Emergency (mint & Kentucky bourbon).
I’ve been gazing longingly at the chocolates all week and slowly making my way through each scrumptious flavour — I’m pretty sure they’re keeping me going at this point.
Chocolates are not the answer to my issues and busy schedule but they are a very nice way to enjoy those brief, much-needed, yet very rare breaks (which are the real reason why I feel rejuvenated). With the province electing its government this evening I thought I would take another pause, sit back from the computer, and enjoy a treat before I spend the rest of my evening on Twitter watching it all unfold.

I’m not usually one for mixing chocolate with much of anything, but Mermaid’s Choice and Simply Charming have me… simply intrigued!
Mink is some of my favourite chocolate in the whole world. You absolutely MUST try “Girl’s Favourite”… it’s my favourite BY FAR 🙂
I love Mink! But who can resist great chocolate? If you’re looking for another great chocolate shop to flavour your breaks, I’d highly recommend Cocoa Nymph at West 10th and Alma (www.cocoanymph.com). Sooo tasty!
