Wireless Lunch
byThis is the first time I’ve done this – setup camp at a coffee shop to write. It was mimicked in Family Guy last night, too funny. Although I’m not writing a screenplay, I’m checking email, writing a blog post and then I will eat a chicken caesar wrap. For 5 bucks I got a wrap and free wireless over the next hour, I can’t complain.
I just happened upon this place, Java Express. It’s MUCH less crowded than a Blenz and it only took me about 4 minutes to walk here. Before leaving the office I checked out on this site – it suggested I try Blenz on Heather and Broadway or Cactus Club on Broadway and Granville. I started off walking in one direction and ended up here. I was going to snap a pic with my phone and bluetooth-it to my Macbook but I’m still too shy. I’m not ready for something like that right now, but I am now one of “those” people, and I have to accept it. Not that there’s anything wrong with that…

It looks all wierd like
What does? My post? The site? You better tell me before I head back to work 😛
:O
you got it dude
Of course there’s nothing wrong with it. Just wish I was one of “those” people. BTW, nothing looked weird as far as I could see.
I know which Java Express you’re talking about! Was intrigued by the name because one will be opening in my building shortly (at Heather and 10th) and I had not been aware of the brand before. And where the wifi-finder suggested for you to go suggests that your new workplace is near where I work. Interesting.
One day I’ll have a laptop and be able to sit at a cafe or restaurant and work on my websites etc.
One day…..
ditto on what tyler said (and add a nanny). also, who are those people? maybe i’m one of them and i don’t even know it yet!
Well one day we won’t have to go to a cafe to use the laptops. We’ll be able to be on the Bus, riding the Skytrain. Ahhh technology, gotta love it!
