Free Parks Canada Discovery Pass in 2017
Passes will be available to order online throughout the whole year. And as in the past, Discovery passes will also be available at Parks Canada places starting January 1, 2017, and through Parks Canada partners.
Parks Canada manages a network of 46 national parks, 171 national historic sites, four national marine conservation areas, one national urban park and eight historic canals that make up the rich tapestry of Canada’s cultural and natural heritage. We often think of the children at this time of year, the sparkle of holiday lights in their eyes, smiles while sitting on Santa’s lap, and gifts wrapped just for them. However this year, London Drugs is leading an initiative to help another demographic have a happy holiday season with Santa for Seniors.

This Christmas you can fulfill the wish list of a local senior at a participating London Drugs. Simply visit your local store, pick up a wish list tag from the Santa for Seniors Christmas tree, shop for items on the list, make your purchase, and leave your gift donation at the store. Each tag contains the personalized wish list from a local senior to whom the items will be delivered for Christmas.

The Nutcracker is coming to Robson Street in a unique way on Saturday as the holiday classic gets projected onto six, eight by eight foot screens lining the middle of thoroughfare for Winter’s Dance.

Where: Robson Street from Burrard to Bute When: Saturday, December 10, 2016 at 6:00pm Admission: None/Free
The Robson Street Business Association (RSBA) and My Loud Speaker present Winter’s Dance, featuring a whimsical 15 minute version of The Nutcracker.
Blenz will be on-site providing cups of hot chocolate to visitors, while other shops and restaurants will be offering special promotions or in-store experiences during the event to add to the overall experience.
Robson Street will be closed to vehicle traffic at 3:00pm and reopen at 11:00pm to allow for set up and take down. An alternative bus route will be in effect. For more information, follow Robson Street on Facebook and Twitter.
