All Souls at Mountain View Cemetery, now in its 20th year, invites people of all ages to remember their ancestors, family and friends who have passed away. Participants can write messages, light candles and place personal memorials on shrines. All are welcome to attend, even if their loved ones are not buried at the cemetery.

The shrines will be kept lit throughout the memorial period during which the cemetery’s contemplative atmosphere will be enhanced with ambient live music in the evenings and weekend afternoons.

The Dusty Flowerpot Cabaret Society has announced that the Parade of Lost Souls will move to Trout Lake (John Hendry Park) for this year’s Halloween celebration, taking place November 1st.

The awards pay tribute to those who have overcome overwhelming challenges and now selflessly give back to their community. They are the hidden everyday heroes that deserve to be recognized and be celebrated for their contributions to our communities.

As we transition from spring and summer markets to the winter market season, Vancouver Farmers Markets (VFM) has announced that Hastings Park will be closing, but they’ll have a new seasonal market in Kitsilano, and an extended Downtown Vancouver market:

However, with the start of Kitsilano Winter Farmers Market, VFM now has two year round farmers markets in the City of Vancouver, along with an extended season of Downtown Market staying open until December.
