This small family farm works hard to create a safe haven for all creatures. Pull off the main road and make your way down the gravel lane toward the heritage barn, flanked by fields of flowers and you’ll feel the stress melt away.

Coming up this month, Sage & Solace is hosting the following events:

Sustainability and Conservation

“Flowers are a good way for me to get people to talk about farming,” says founder Barb Pearson. As stewards of the Fraser Valley Conservancy, Barb’s family has worked with UBC to save sick bee hives, and with SFU providing homes for the endangered barn owl. They have thousands of pollinators, birds, insects, and other creatures now inhabiting the farm due to their attention to creating an environment where wildlife thrives rather than perishes. They use no herbicides or pesticides and farm sustainably.

Scariest Corn Maze in Canada – HAUNTED at Maan Farms

The days are getting shorter, the leaves are starting to change, and Maan Farms’ chainsaw maze is revving up for another season of their Haunted attraction. It’s known as the Scariest Corn Maze in Canada for a reason…

HAUNTED at Maan Farms

  • When: Friday, September 29 to Tuesday, October 31, 2023
  • Where: Maan Farms at 790 McKenzie Rd (Abbotsford)
  • Admission: Early bird tickets are available online now. Guests can choose from 1-3 HAUNTED experiences. Ticket prices are tiered based on demand, offering affordable rates.

Maan Farms’ HAUNTED returns with the theme of Agatha’s Witching Hour and three main attractions: Canada’s iconic chainsaw corn maze; and elevated fan favourites, Homestead and The Way Down.

Three hours of thrilling fun awaits, along with a newly-located Midway Section filled with live scares and Mama Maan’s signature fall foods.

“This year, the creators of The Scariest Corn Maze in Canada are excited to unveil Agatha’s Witching Hour, a haunted experience where guests are immersed in unspeakable horrors and spine-chilling scares as they attempt to escape Agatha’s dark magic alive, and solve the mystery of Esme the good witch,” says Amir Maan, creator of HAUNTED and Maan Farms’ Director. “The darkness is starving and it can’t wait to welcome you, but don’t say her name!”

The Scariest Corn Maze in Canada

The Scariest Corn Maze in Canada returns with a Slaughterhouse theme where flesh and beast become one. Agatha’s dark magic has turned a tranquil corn field into a horrifying labyrinth of chainshaw terror. Homestead invites visitors to experience a full-contact immersive live theater experience and The Way Down is Canada’s first hooded haunt. Guests will be covering their heads and guided by rope as they are led into a world of multi-dimensional sensory overload, experienced through Agatha’s nightmare.

Refuel with Fall Favourites

After all those frights you’re sure to work up an appetite! Mama Maan’s fall sips and bites include the signature Double-Spice Cream, festive beverages (Pumpkin Spice and Salted Caramel Apple Lattés and apple cider slushies), spiced tea (chai), freshly-popped kettle corn, mini donuts, field-to-plate pumpkin pie and savoury classics, such as samosas, butter chicken, and chickpea bowls.
