Enjoy one of the year’s signature wine, beer, and gastronomy events over two days at Top Drop Vancouver, bringing together international, terroir-focused wineries, cideries, breweries, and more September 10th and 11th.
Top Drop Vancouver focuses on sustainably-farmed, handcrafted wines offering a distinct sense of place, without heavy-handed winemaking trickery to get in the way. While honest wines are the centrepiece of Top Drop, the group of restaurant and wine industry professionals behind the event believe craft beer, cider and gastronomical pursuits are all part of the same dynamic conversation, and each play a key part in the event.
The Top Drop Dinner Series takes place on Thursday, September 10th at four venues from Vancouver to Whistler. Plan your evening with chefs and wineries at Cinara (350 West Pender), Edible Canada (Granville Island), Wildebeest (120 West Hastings), or at Alta Bistro (4319 Main St) in Whistler. Menus, wine pairings, tickets, and dinner series event info is available here.
The Main Event, benefitting the BC Hospitality Foundation, features a walk-around tasting room with sips and stories from the principals of 33 international wineries. Attendees can visit and taste with a good handful of British Columbian craft breweries, cideries and food purveyors. If you like what you taste, you can make purchases right on site with Everything Wine and Libations Liquor Store.

Recorded in Vancouver at FaderMountain Sound with long-time collaborator and producer Winston Hauschild, Quiet Dreams showcases several heavyweights, including Gretsch Guitar artist, Paul Pigat (Jakob Dylan, Neko Case), and a duet with Hey Ocean! lead singer, Ashleigh Ball (“Something This Way Comes”). Also highlighted are string players Caitlin Grieve (Cairo) and Doug Gorkoff (Black Dog Quartet). Quiet Dreams has already received international recognition with placements on Channel 7’s popular TV show Winners & Losers in Australia.
Nat Jay will perform two sets at this unique show – one acoustic set with guitar and strings, and one full band set. The opener for the evening will be local buzz artist Jasper Sloan Yip, who is fresh off appearances at the Vancouver Folk Festival, Arts Wells, and the Tiny Lights Festival.

Wine country, live music outdoors, and Canadian musical talent — what could be better? Tinhorn Creek Vineyards is closing out another season of their Canadian Concert Series in their Golden Mile vineyard amphitheatre with Canadian rockers The Trews.
Tinhorn Creek Canadian Concert Series Grand Finale
The Trews
Saturday, September 12, 2015
7:30pm (gates open at 7:00pm)
About The Trews: In 1998, a group of four young Canadians from Nova Scotia decided to form a serious rock band. Since 2002 they have received numerous accolades including winning the 2005 Canadian East Coast Music Award for Group of the Year and 13 Top 10 Canadian radio singles, including two #1s! The Trews are a well-known Canadian classic rock band who have supported and joined Bruce Springsteen on stage as well as recently taken part in CapeFest with Slash from Guns N’ Roses and Aerosmith. The Trews bring with them a classic rock and electric sound that is sure to bring the house down and get the crowds dancing the night away under the Okanagan sky in Tinhorn Creek’s outdoor amphitheatre.
Canadian Concert Series Contest
Tinhorn Creek and Walnut Beach Resort have teamed up once again to offer a spectacular giveaway for one lucky Miss604 reader so that they can enjoy the region with a guest and dance the night away at the Canadian Concert Series. The prize package includes two tickets to The Trews at the Canadian Concert Series and a one night stay at Walnut Beach Resort (a Pinot one bedroom mountainside suite with den and full kitchen), as well as two rides on the Tinhorn Creek shuttle to get you to the concert series and back.
Stretch out on a secluded private beach along Canada’s warmest lake or lounge on the expansive sundeck around an impressive outdoor heated pool, sipping reds and whites from the wine bar. The best vacation spot in the Okanagan Valley is, undoubtedly, Walnut Beach Resort.
Tinhorn Creek has a wineshop, barrel cellar, demonstration vineyard, tours, and Miradoro Restaurant which are complimented by sweeping views of the South Okanagan valley between Oliver and Osoyoos. It’s a one-of-a-kind venue for a concert series that celebrates so many great things about our beautiful province.
