Movies Under the Stars (“MUTS”) is returning this year to Surrey’s Holland Park, with a family-friendly lineup of entertainment and movie screenings every Saturday in August.

Out On Screen is turning 30 and they’re celebrating with a birthday party on June 2nd! A party for the LGBT2Q+ community and allies at the Imperial on Main Street will pay tribute to the last three decades of uplifting queer stories at the Vancouver Queer Film Festival.

Free Outdoor Movies at Lansdowne Centre in Richmond July and August, 2018. The lot on the corner of Alderbridge Way and No 3 Road will be transformed into a drive-in movie theatre, with walk-ins welcome.

Vancouver’s own Little Italy is hosting the annual Italian Day on the Drive festival on June 10th, celebrating Italian culture, heritage and respective immigrant contributions in Vancouver. This festival transforms Commercial Drive into a lively 14 block, vehicle free, celebration and community festa!

It first began 106 years ago and this summer is going to once again kick-off in style at Lynn Valley Days June 15-16, 2018. Hosted by the Lynn Valley Lions Club, this three-day celebration brings together the community through dinner, dancing, a pancake breakfast, parade, and much more.

Returning for a second year on Saturday, June 2, 2018, Public Disco in Alley Oop an is immersive pop-up party for neighbours and strangers to connect through music. The event features a lineup of DJs from the upcoming Bass Coast Festival in Vancouver.

The annual Richmond Canada Day in Steveston will feature a free, full-day street party throughout Steveston Village alongside the much beloved Steveston Salmon Festival. A headline performance by Juno Award-winners Big Sugar and fireworks over the Fraser River will cap off the celebrations.

Starting in June, take the free Port Moody Shoreline Shuttle, that will connect visitors and residents to Inlet Centre, Rocky Point Park, and Moody Centre, and shopping destinations.

For 12 years it’s been one of the top FREE things to do in Vancouver throughout the summer, and Sunday Afternoon Salsa has just released their schedule for 2018. July 8 to August 26, 2018 drop-in 3:00pm to 9:30pm. Free for all skill levels, lessons included.
