As we transition from spring and summer markets to the winter market season, Vancouver Farmers Markets (VFM) has announced that Hastings Park will be closing, but they’ll have a new seasonal market in Kitsilano, and an extended Downtown Vancouver market:

Vancouver Winter Farmers Markets

The Hastings Park Farmers Market, serving the East Vancouver community for the last ten years, is taking a pause this season. However, with the start of Kitsilano Winter Farmers Market, VFM now has two year round farmers markets in the City of Vancouver, along with an extended season of Downtown Market staying open until December.

The new market in Kitsilano will offer fresh and local produce, baked goods, and other local businesses, ensuring consistent access to local food throughout the winter months. This will help provide access to local food consistently, throughout the year to the neighbourhood. By expanding into the winter months, VFM aims to strengthen the local food system and foster vibrant community connections in Kitsilano.

In addition to the new Kitsilano Winter Market, the Downtown Farmers Market season will be extended until December 18, 2024. Along with the Riley Park Winter Market, shoppers will have three market options to explore throughout the winter season, providing continued access to fresh, local abundance in the winter months.

    • Sundays, 10:00am to 2:00pm
