Blogathon 2009 – Memories of 24 Hours
byPost #30 of #49 – Over the next 24 hours I will be raising funds for the Union Gospel Mission during Blogathon 2009 by writing a blog post every 30 minutes. Please consider donating to my cause to keep my going until 6am PT July 26th.

What say you?
Can you remember the last time you stayed awake for 24 hours straight?
My first time was that Grade 12-graduation party. To see if we could. So we could say we did. Sunrise on the beach, yeppers – we did it! We were free!
Then there was the youthful foolishness – the infamous “all nighters.†Party hardy. The only dreaded memory I have for 24 hours of no sleep was with the flue. On and off the head (aka toilet)… front and back. Not willfully ready to be repeat that one… ever!
Hey, but nothing like a good frolic in the sack to keep you up all night! Good times. Good memories. Ah yes, the morning glow that lasted all day till you BONKED with fatigue after some meal with the third cup of coffee. Still had a smile on your face though!
One time I stayed up all night editing a sponsorship video. I’ve never worked so hard it my life. I volunteered for it. When it was done, boy was it worth it. The video gleaned $15,000 for the event. I was super happy. So was the event that got the money.
Yes, we plan on spending the night awake. Creating blogs. Raising money for charity. What say you? Got a great “all nighter†you’d like to share with us? In the process, spend a few bucks and throw some money at one of the worthy causes we’re writing for. It probably won’t keep you up all night!
