Surrey Hosts Hockey Day in Canada in Punjabi
The City of Surrey announced that the Cloverdale Sport & Ice Complex and Museum of Surrey have been selected as official host sites for Scotiabank Hockey Day in Canada in Punjabi – Live from Surrey on January 17, 2026.
For 26 years, Scotiabank Hockey Day in Canada has connected hockey with community, building memories and experiences for the communities it has travelled to and empowering hockey’s next generation. In 2026, they’ll be doing a marathon broadcast from Moncton, New Brunswick.
This national celebration of Canada’s game will bring families, fans, and athletes together for a full day of hockey and community events.

Randip Janda will host Scotiabank Hockey Day in Canada in Punjabi live on OMNI Television from the Cloverdale Sport & Ice Complex, 4:00pm to 7:00pm as part of Sportsnet’s national broadcast marathon.
At 7:00pm, the Museum of Surrey will host a public celebration where visitors can continue watching Scotiabank Hockey Day in Canada programming, including the Vancouver Canucks vs. Edmonton Oilers game, witness Sportsnet personalities conduct live interviews, and explore the museum’s Our Connection to Hockey exhibit, which highlights the sport’s cultural impact in Surrey.
