Vancouver Whitecaps Playoffs Round 1 vs FC Dallas
Vancouver Whitecaps FC are in the Audi MLS Cup Playoffs and based on their result tonight on Decision Day, they’ll be facing off against FC Dallas. Securing the second place spot at the top of the Western Conference, Vancouver will host two matches in the first round, if needed.

Vancouver needed a draw or win tonight in order to win the West, but the 2-1 result for Dallas kept them away from the top of the table. It didn’t help that at the same time, San Diego FC defeated Portland 4-0 to secure their seat at the top of the conference.

Whitecaps FC have a 15W-3L-6D record at BC Place across all competitions this year, and 10W-3L-4D in MLS play. They set club records in the MLS regular season for points (63), wins (18), away victories (8), goals scored (66), and goal difference (+28).
Even though he experienced his first loss with the Whitecaps tonight in front of a sold-out crowd, Thomas Müller scored his eighth goal of the season across all competitions. He now has 12 goal contributions, all coming in his past seven appearances (8G, 4A).
The ‘Caps have scored 94 goals across all competitions this season, the most in one season in club history dating back to 1974.
