Late Summer Menus
The North Bistro Unveils Signature Mala Dry Pot Menu
- Where: 4530 No.3 Road, Richmond
- When: Now Available
- Details: The North Bistro, a modern Asian fusion known for its bold, flavour-forward dishes, is excited to introduce its latest culinary creation – Bistro Mala Dry Pot. This signature series of spicy dry hot pots is crafted with an exclusive, house-developed seasoning blend. Infused with fragrant Sichuan peppercorns and a carefully selected mix of exotic spices, The North Bistro’s secret Mala recipe delivers the perfect balance of savoury flavours in every bite. The new menu offers four main dry pot options featuring premium proteins. Guests can choose from the Chicken Pot priced at $22, the Pork Rib Pot at $23, the Angus Beef Pot at $32, the New Zealand Lamb Pot at $33 or the Tiger Prawn Pot at $36.
Desi Indian Lounge New Happy Hour Features to Menu
- Where: 1355 Hornby Street, Vancouver
- When: Now Available, everyday 2:30pm to 5:30pm and 9:30pm to close
- Details: — Desi Indian Lounge has launched their twice-daily Happy Hour food and drink features now available on the menu at the dining hotspot located in the heart of Downtown Vancouver. Desi’s new Happy Hour food menu features a choice of Paneer or Chicken Thepla Tacos, Nachos, Chili and Momos, Gobi Manchurian and Shimla Kebabs, Chicken Lollipops and Kerala Pepper Chicken for $10 each plus tax. Notable Happy Hour drink features include a selection of BC Craft Beer for $5 per sleeve, Tamarind or Jalapeño Margaritas or Aperol Spritzes for $11 each, 6oz pours of House Red or White Wine for $7 each, a choice of vodka, tequila, gin or rum Highballs for $5 (1oz) or $7 (2oz) each, Mango Lassis for $4 each and Mango or Strawberry Mojitos for $6.50 each.

St. Lawrence Anniversary Menu
- Where: 269 Powell Street, Vancouver
- When: This August, Tuesday – Sundays 5:00pm -10:30pm
- Details: This August, Vancouver’s Michelin-starred St. Lawrence is celebrating its eighth anniversary with a special ‘Table Champêtre’-inspired menu, offering a nostalgic and deeply personal journey through Québécois cuisine and culture by Chef/Owner J-C Poirier. Inspired by Québec’s farm-to-table traditions, the four-course menu showcases the best of local, seasonal ingredients and pays homage to Poirier’s culinary roots. Dishes will highlight classic Québécois fare, personal favourites and recipes from Poirier’s award-winning cookbook, Where The River Narrows. Available throughout August for $125 per person, with optional enhancements and curated beverage pairings. Reservations now open.

Provence Marinaside’s Tomato Festival
- Where: 1177 Marinaside Crescent, Vancouver
- When: August 1st to August 31st
- Details: Provence Marinaside celebrates all things tomato with its annual Tomato Festival. Working with local suppliers and farmers, Owner/Executive Chef Jean-Francis Quaglia and his talented chef team have crafted a three-course Tomato Festival Menu value-priced at $79. This height-of-the-season menu is sure to delight all guests and festival-goers. Make your reservation here. Walk-ins are also accepted when seating available.

Fat Mao Noodles Turns 10
- Where: Chinatown – 217 East Georgia Street, Vancouver Downtown – 983 Helmcken Street, Vancouver
- When: The month of August
- Details: Fat Mao Noodles, Vancouver’s popular Thai-style noodle bar, is reaching a major milestone – 10 years of serving more than 750,000 bowls of slurpworthy noodles in the heart of Vancouver’s Chinatown. To celebrate, guests will see the return of two favourites, Southern Thai Beef Laksa and Tom Kha Coconut Mushroom Soup, available at both its Chinatown and downtown locations, in addition to the launch of limited-edition anniversary merch. Each returning noodle soup is available for two weeks in August – the Tom Kha Coconut Mushroom Soup (creamy coconut soup with mushrooms, infused with galangal & lime leaf and served with glass vermicelli noodles) from August 1 to 15th and the Southern Thai Beef Laksa (spicy southern-style laksa, beef shin, peanuts, dried shrimp, wonton egg noodles) from August 16 to 31st. Guests also have a chance to win a $100 gift card at the Chinatown location.

BC Salmon Season & Participating Restaurants
- Where: Participating restaurants across BC
- When: August 1st to August 15th
- Details: British Columbia is known for its incredible array of fresh seafood, sustainably sourced from its coastal and interior waters, with none more recognizable than BC’s wild salmon. August marks the height of the season, where salmon dwells in its pure, natural environment, and the BC Salmon Marketing Council is partnering with some of the province’s top restaurants and retailers to bring fresh and wild BC salmon to nine participating restaurants:
- Michelin recommended Wildlight Kitchen + Bar and chef Warren Chow
- Michelin recommended Bar Bravo and chef Jonah Joffe
- Vancouver’s only indigenous restaurant Salmon n’ Bannock and chef Paul Fortin
- Moments Hospitality Collective’s Nanoose Bay Cafe, Qualicum Beach Cafe, Greenview Taphouse and Deez Bar & Grill and chef Todd Bright

Pride Weekend at Parq Casino
- Where: 39th Smithe Street, Vancouver
- When: July 31st to August 3rd
- Details: Parq Casino will put pride on full display and show its love for the community at large by hosting special features to spotlight Pride Weekend in Vancouver this August long weekend at the downtown entertainment hub:
- Enjoy the delicious return of Parq’s signature Rainbow Pride Cheesecake to the menus at Honey Salt, the Victor, D/6 Lounge and BC Kitchen from July 27 to August 3rd – as well as tables available to be booked for parties with DJs at D/6 throughout the weekend.
- A Pride Brunch at Honey Salt Saturday, August 2nd and Sunday August 3rd features Pride-themed décor, a rolling tableside Sangria Cart and special dishes such as Salmon Benedicts, Savoury Dutch Baby or Buttermilk Pancakes and unique Pride-themed Cocktails that include the Davie Street Dapper (peach-infused Canadian Club, Southern Comfort, fresh lemon, egg white), the Queen’s Gambit (Bacardi white rum, pineapple, coconut milk, lime juice) and Fizzing With Pride (gin, fresh lemon, blackberry balsamic shrub, fresh blackberries, mint).
- A special Pride Edition of the Grand Buffet at The Victor Sunday August 3rd that features Mimosa Flights (NA available), a Build-Your-Own Bloody Mary & Caesar Bar and a menu offering fresh-baked in-house pastries, breads and seasonal mezze, Dim Sum, sushi and seafood selections, a carving station and The Victor’s Famous Candy Bar, Chocolate Ganache Cake, Black & White Chocolate Fondue and more.

‘Tanduay Rum Boodle Fight’ at H2 Kitchen + Bar
- Where: 1601 Bayshore Drive, Vancouver
- When: Friday, August 15th
- Details: H2 Kitchen and Bar is throwing a traditional Filipino family function – a Boodle Fight is known as a communal feast in which food is served atop banana leaves that have been spread across a long table. Everything is eaten with bare hands, encouraging connection, camaraderie and family-style fun. Presented in collaboration with Tanduay Rum, enjoy canapés like prawn-and-scallop kinilaw, brisket burnt-ends lumpia, longanisa-and-egg soufflé sliders and chicken inasal. Dinner includes a spread of smoked lechon liempo, crispy smoked pata, tocino pork ribs, beef rib pares, adobo fried chicken wings, Bicol express, kare-kareng gulay and pancit palabok Malabon. Classic Filipino fixings round out the table: collard green laing, papaya slaw, atchara, garlic fried rice, cornbread bibingka, pandesal and fresh tropical fruit. Purchase tickets here.

Bow & Stern in Brentwood
- Where: 4567 Lougheed Highway #2626, Burnaby
- When: Friday, August 9th from 2:00 – 8:00pm
- Details: Join Bow & Stern for an unforgettable afternoon in the Tequila Garden at Brentwood on Friday, August 9th. They’re teaming up with Don Julio for a vibrant patio takeover, complete with custom décor, branded glassware, umbrellas and more, courtesy of Breakthru Beverage. Expect handcrafted tequila cocktails, a taco station and a refreshing margarita stand right on the patio. Greendale Acres Corn Festival
- Where: 41905 Yale Road West, Chilliwack
- When: August 2nd – 4th
- Details: Celebrate summer in classic farm style at the Chilliwack Corn Festival for a weekend packed with family fun, live music and plenty of fresh corn on the cob. Held at one of the region’s most beloved seasonal attractions, this year’s festival features the debut of the new Bee-themed Chilliwack Corn Maze, live performances from Larry Edwards & The Johnny Bootleg Trio, Unbranded, the Morgan Griffith Band, and Ryan McCallister – plus kid-friendly activities, licensed events and friendly competitions like corn shucking, corn eating and a Saturday night cornhole tournament. Admission: $18 online / $21 at the door (free for members).

Myth Group Opens New Dessert and Patisserie in Richmond

- Details: Myth Dessert & Patisserie is a cozy dessert shop with a chic and refreshing vibe that offers an array of sweet treats and house-made pastries and make-your-own dessert features crafted with love and care that allow guests to slow their pace and savour each delectable bite. Myth Dessert & Patisserie is part of the same restaurant group that also operates Myth Szechuan Cuisine and Myth Grill and Yakitori Bistro that are both located in the same complex. Fairmont Waterfront’s ARC Restaurant Partners with HYPE Chocolate for Pop-Up
- Where: Adjacent to ARC Restaurant’s Patio, 900 Canada Place, Vancouver
- When: Open 11:00am – 7:00pm on weekends throughout August and the first two weeks of September
- Details: Fairmont Waterfront‘s Arc Restaurant is excited to share their new collaboration with HYPE chocolate – for an ice cream pop up adjacent to ARC’s current patio downtown. The pop-up will be open every weekend in August and the first two weekends in September. To mark the unique nature of this collaboration, the pop-up will feature flavours distinctive to Fairmont Waterfront, including a signature Lemon, Wildflower Honey & Thyme sorbet, an affectionate nod to the hotel’s rooftop garden and bee apiary. Guests can also enjoy a Salted Chocolate ice cream – featuring sea salt from Vancouver Island – a tribute to Fairmont Waterfront’s pure coastal luxury ethos. HYPE Chocolate’s signature seasonal B.C. berry cups topped with warm, velvety chocolate will also be available.

Ellipsis: New Space Openings for Coffee, Cocktails and Community
- Where: 1540 West 2nd Avenue, Vancouver
- When: Opening soon, daily from 9:00am – 11:00pm
- Details: Vancouver is set to welcome a new coffee and cocktail concept promoting taking the time to pause, gather and connect, opening later this summer. Ellipsis is a dual bar combining coffee, cocktails and community under one design masterpiece. Positioned inside one of the final works of late Canadian architect Arthur Erickson, the reimagined space sits within The Waterfall Building, designed in 1996 in collaboration with Nick Milkovich.
