  • When: Every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday afternoon from July 8 to August 28, 2025
    • Special Saturday Family Night on Saturday, July 19 from 5:00pm to 8:15pm

Celebrate the summer with a series of free live performances at Confederation Park in Burnaby. Bring a chair or blanket for a picnic style show and enjoy a variety of performances by acts like The Magical Kingdom Sing and Dance A-long Show, Robin Layne and the Rhythm Makers, Yuki the Juggler, Burnaby Lyric Opera, Cause & Effect Circus Show, and much more!

This year, enjoy a Special Saturday Family Night with performances by Ukrainian Dance Ensemble MRIYA, Vancouver Morris Men, Fuga Circus Show, and DISCOBABY: a 1970’s tribute show featuring The Retrolytes!

Summer Cinema

  • When: Fridays and Saturdays in August
    • Movies begin at around 8:15pm
  • Where: Civic Square (Fridays) and Confederation Park (Saturdays)

Summer Cinema kicks off on Friday nights at Civic Square and continues on Saturday nights at Confederation Park during August. Bring a blanket or chair and some movie snacks to enjoy throughout the show!

Civic Square | Movies being at approximately 8:30pm

  • Friday, August 15: A Minecraft Movie
  • Friday, August 22: The Tiger’s Apprentice
  • Friday, August 29: IF

Free underground parking is available at the Bob Prittie Metrotown library, and there are also portable washrooms on-site. 

Confederation Park | Movies being at approximately 8:30pm

  • Saturday, August 16: Dog Man
  • Saturday, August 23: Moana 2

Arrive early for a double feature of fun. There’s lots going on before the show. Step into the programming tent to enjoy fun interactive Coast Salish games led by an Indigenous educator between 6:30pm and 8:30pm each night.

Plus meet costumed characters. They’ll be making an appearance each evening between 6:00pm and 8:30 pm. Come dressed in costume and get ready to have a blast!
