Pride in the Park in Maple Ridge
Pride in the Park is the only public event celebrating 2SLGBTQIA+ pride in Maple Ridge and it’s happening this June 14th. This free, family-friendly event invites the whole community to come together for an afternoon filled with music, games, a BBQ, face painting, and more. The lineup this year is absolutely incredible, and you won’t want to miss it!

David C. Jones will be the emcee and DJ Kwaz with provide the tunes. This year’s headliner is Canada’s Drag Race contestant Jaylene Tyme who will be joined by the very talented Carrie Dawn, Kara Juku and Margaux Rita!
Vendor applications are open until May 23rd, apply online if you are a artisan, small business, local organization, or community service.
About PLEA and Pride in the Park
PLEA delivers unique services, tailored to individual strengths and needs, to children, youth, adults and families facing significant challenges so that they may live fulfilling lives within their communities.
Pride in the Park began in 2016 as a way to bring Pride festivities closer to youth who participate in PLEA’s other 2SLGBTQIA+ youth services in Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows. Their Generation-Out group is a free, confidential and voluntary support group for youth aged 14 to 18 years who are exploring gender and sexuality. PLEA’s youth TransSupport group is a free, confidential and voluntary support group for transgender youth aged 15 years and under. They both provide a safe, positive and supportive space for youth to regularly meet and spend time together.
Every year, PLEA actively fundraises to host Pride in the Park to benefit youth and the community. They aim to raise $2,000 to cover costs associated with rentals, decorations, food, prizes and swag.
