Now in its fourth year, Car Free Day Surrey kicks off at 137th Street in Newton featuring a full day of music, dance, food and family-friendly activities. Explore the Family Zone with a climbing wall, face painting, and other interactive activities. Check out the acoustic stage showcasing Surrey singer-songwriter Glisha, folk artist Pat Chessell, DJ Seko, dance battles, and more on the Connect FM Dance Stage. Enjoy drinks and food from a wide variety of food trucks on site serving up delicious eats and more!

Since 2005, Car Free Days have grown into a regional celebration of community, sustainability, and climate action. These events aim to highlight how small changes, like walking, biking, or taking transit, can have a big impact. The events strive for festival goers to find environmentally friendly ways of transportation to reduce carbon footprints. All Car Free Day festivals are easily accessible by transit, biking or walking distance. Plus, enjoy a variety of offers from TransLink all summer long.

Presented by TransLink, local municipalities, and various Business Improvement Associations, the Car Free Days 2025 series brings free, all-ages block parties to various communities across Metro Vancouver.
