Did you know that 70% of Canadians recently said they are much less likely to travel to the U.S. for leisure in 2025? Or that 78% of Canadians prefer a hotel to an Airbnb? You may have wondered who participates in these surveys you read about in the news and how you might get involved, and if so, I have that information for you right here!

BC, Make Your Opinion Count with LEO

These are examples of polls by Leger Opinion, using the LEO platform. Currently, only 7% of their respondents reside in British Columbia so while we’re getting insights into the Canadian public, we’re missing out on sharing our opinions out west. That’s where you come in! You can sign up for LEO to answer surveys and polls, whenever and however many you like, sharing only the information you would like to share using the LEO app.

Participate in online surveys and earn points redeemable for interesting rewards such as gift cards of all kinds, prepaid credit cards and PayPal transfers.

I’ve had my account for a few days and I have participated in a variety of surveys already including one about the use if AI, another about Canadian universities, and then general questions of the day such as: Since inflation, have you had to choose less healthy or lower quality foods than usual to fit your budget?

I also participated in a study hosted by a university, and was given a rundown of what the purpose of the study was, and all of my options when it came to my participation. The language used was also very inclusive when it came to gender identity, diversity, and more.

“85% of facts on the internet are made up” – Abraham Lincoln. This is an old joke online, of course. But you can actually participate in real polls, that real organizations, nonprofits, businesses, and the public will take seriously. Plus, add a BC perspective to these national polls.

Perks of Participating in Polls

Completing a LEO survey or poll earns you Rewards. Once you have accumulated a certain amount, you can redeem them for gift cards of a PayPal payout. There are two rewards at 10,000 LEO points (Aeroplan and AIR MILES) and others can be unlocked once you reach 20,000 points (valued at $20).

When you answer surveys and Question of the Day, you can collect chances and bet them on contest(s) of your choice including products like a tablet, or restaurant gift cards.
