Celebrate Valentine’s Day at The Westin Bayshore

- Details: Still in search of the perfect Valentine’s plans? The Westin Bayshore is open for lunch and dinner for an upscale meal at their “Winterlust” outdoor private dome. Entree options include Fraser Valley Wagyu Beef Duo, Zucchini-Wrapped Sablefish with Lobster Thermidor or Acorn Squash Agnolotti – all paired with champagne. - Valentines Dinner at Notch8 Fairmont Hotel: Celebrate Valentine’s Day with that special someone with a decadent, 3-course dinner in Notch8. Choose from three starters such as albacore tuna with spiced tapenade and smoked tomato. For the main course, selections include a honey-lavender glazed Duck Breast with cherry jus and spätzle, Steak au Poivre with celeriac pave and mushrooms, or Sablefish with andouille fingerling hash and broccoli rabe, to name a few. - Details: The BC Seafood Festival has been proudly held in the Comox Valley, on Vancouver Island, since 2006. Pacific Institute of Culinary Arts – Seoul Food Edition

- Details: Get ready for a flavorful journey through Korean cuisine at Seoul Food Edition on at the Pacific Institute of Culinary Arts. Chef Brent Kim is back to teach you how to make some of Korea’s most beloved dishes, starting with tender and chewy Tteokbokki (stir-fried rice cakes) and continuing with savory Beef Bulgogi. You’ll also learn how to prepare Kimbap—the Korean seaweed rice rolls that have taken the internet by storm. This hands-on class will guide you through making a traditional Korean meal that includes Kimbap, Fish Cake Soup, Steamed Rice and, of course, Tteokbokki and Beef Bulgogi. To round out the experience, you’ll sip on traditional Barley Tea.
Five Sails Sommelier Showdown Series

- When: Tuesday, February 18th
- Details: The second event in the exciting Sommelier Showdown series will take place at Five Sails, located in the Pan Pacific Hotel. This culinary showdown will feature renowned sommeliers Nick Bertoia (L’Abattoir, Published on Main, Bar Susu) and Randy Chafe (Fairmont Hotels, The Vancouver Club), who will go head-to-head in a battle to pair their wines with a four-course dinner crafted by Five Sails Culinary Director, Alex Kim. The evening kicks off with a sparkling wine and canapé reception. Then, guests will savor dishes like Seared Scallops with roasted sunchokes and Okanagan pickled pear, Seared King Salmon with winter truffle emulsion and delicata squash and Peace River Grilled Lamb Loin with celeriac and braised shoulder ragout. Each course will be paired with wines selected by the competing sommeliers, who will serve them blindly, allowing guests to vote for their favorite. The winner will ultimately face off in the Grand Finale on March 25. The eventual winner earning a once-in-a-lifetime trip to Champagne, France, provided by Fine Vintage.

New Moon: Selene Aegean Bistro Winter Menu

- Details: Vancouver’s destination for coastal Aegean cuisine, Selene Aegean Bistro, is celebrated the recent new moon with several new additions to its winter menu, created by head chefs Adrian Nate and Arish Dastoor. Available now, guests can indulge in dishes such as Tabbouleh, Ribeye Cap Kalamaki and Saffron Panna Cotta. Each dish celebrates the vibrant coastal ingredients and diverse flavours of Aegean cuisine, drawing inspiration from both Greek and Turkish culinary traditions. Reservations are now available.

Honey Salt Winter Menu

- Where: Parq Casino, 39 Smithe Street, Vancouver
- Details: Right now at Honey Salt, you can warm up après-ski style with their special menu, available daily from 3:00pm to close. For just $39, dive into a rich and indulgent Cheese Fondue Bread Bowl, featuring a blend of aged cheddar and Gruyère cheese, served with sourdough, apples, grapes, new potatoes, crispy mushrooms and savory pork sausage. For something heartier, the Pork Schnitzel ($29) comes with boiled parsley potatoes, braised red cabbage and roasted lemon. Vegetarians can enjoy the Cottage Classic ($21), packed with sweet & sour mushrooms, pickles, crispy Brussels sprouts, glazed carrots and melted raclette cheese, with the option to add truffle salami, prosciutto or Black Forest ham for $12.
