Fall Fun at the Met – Metropolis at Metrotown Giveaway

From now till October 31st, when you visit BC’s largest shopping centre, you can also enjoy a lineup of seasonal activities and some Burnaby Halloween Festival fun. Fall Fun at the Met
Metropolis at Metrotown has transformed into a breezy fall tableau with plenty of picture-perfect photo backdrops. The centre’s fall décor (by Lazy Wizard) is anchored by a Grand Court display of giant pumpkins stacked 34 feet high, with mice, giant leaves, and grass vines intertwined throughout. This year, in partnership with Tourism Burnaby, the Burnaby Halloween Festival has also been folded into your autumn shopping experience.
Escape the Haunted Mansion
Ghost Hunt: Hauntington Manor, produced by Bamboozled Escape Games, invites groups of two to eight players to enter a dimly lit mansion, armed with a ghostbustin’ laser, to solve puzzles and complete action-based tasks to save the manor’s lost souls. This 25-minute experience is designed for adults; while there is no gore, the startling and spooky atmosphere requires that children 7 to 12 must be accompanied by an adult (ages 19+); youth ages 13 and older can participate on their own. Reservations are encouraged and can be booked online.
Autumn Classics
Attend a parade of expertly carved jack-o-lanterns by master pumpkin carver Michael Valeroso in the Grand Court, with plenty of photo ops. October 12th from 11:00am to 5:00pm. The following week, on October 19th from 11:00am to 3:00pm, the Pie Hole will host a pop-up shop along with a couple of old fashioned pie-eating contests.
To Autumn Glam
From October 18 to 19th, MAC will host Halloween beauty workshops showcasing three haunting Halloween looks to elevate your makeup for the holiday. The demos will take place on the ground level outside of Bath & Body Works each afternoon. Shoppers who pre-book a one-on-one in-store service to achieve their Halloween glam look ($45, plus tax) will receive 20% off all products purchased.
Trick or Treat
On October 31st they’ll host a day of trick-or-treating at retail stores throughout the shopping centre. Between 1:00pm and 5:00pm on October 31st, kids can see a balloon twister demonstration, get their faces painted by Kidoodles Art Studio, or pose in their Halloween costumes at the Photo Crumb photo booth.
