Visit Burnaby Village Museum for Spring Break fun for the whole family March 13 to 24, 2023. The 10-acre open-air museum site will host a variety of activities showcasing how different cultures help shape our communities including learning opportunities from Indigenous Educators.

Spring Break at Burnaby Village Museum

  • When: Monday, March 13 to Friday, March 24, 2023 daily 11:00am to 4:30pm
  • Where: Burnaby Village Museum (6501 Deer Lake Ave, Burnaby)
  • Admission: FREE!
    • Note: The C.W. Parker carousel will not be running as it is closed for repairs

Special Activities

Coast Salish Seed Bombs
Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays, 11:30am (30 min)
Make a seed bomb with Coast Salish plant seeds. Take it home or place it in your garden.

Community Loom Weaving
Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays, 2:00pm (30 min)
Gather together to make a colourful textile with your community.

Butter Making
Tuesdays, 11:30am to 3:30pm
Learn, churn and sample fresh butter.

Steam Demo
Wednesdays, All Day
Explore station steam engines, which were used to power sawmills and industrial equipment in Burnaby.

School Days
Saturday, March 18, 12:00pm and 3:00pm (30 min)
Experience life as a student in the century old one-room schoolhouse

Heritage Games
Sunday, March 19, 12:00pm to 3:00pm
Engage in a variety of hands-on games and toys. Fun for kids and adults!
