Details: Gateway Theatre is so excited to welcome back viewers for all of your favorite Broadway holiday classics; such as, “Let it Snow”, “Sleigh Ride” and “White Christmas”. A digital video on-demand stream is also available for remote viewers. It is recommended to purchase tickets early, as in-person seating will be limited. Based on A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens

Location: Stanley Industrial Alliance Stage (2750 Granville St, Vancouver)

Details: A family-friendly classic like A Christmas Carol joined with Dolly Parton’s one-of-a-kind songwriting makes this musical a must-see this season. The musical is set during the 1930s in a East Tennessee mining town, where Ebenezer Scrooge is challenged to see his life and business in a new light on Christmas Eve. Plan ahead for one twenty minute intermission. Running time: TBA.

Dance Into Christmas 2021

Date: December 3, 2021

Location: Massey Theatre (735 8th Ave, New Westminster)

Details: Join the Richmond Dance for their twenty-second annual Christmas Concert, “Dance Into Christmas 2021”. This concert combines talented vocalists, dancers, choreographers and holiday spirit into one production. Guest Artists from Les Grands Ballets Canadiens will also be featured to perform the “Nutcracker Pas de Deux”. 

Traditional Christmas – VSO

Location: Massey Theatre (735 8th Ave, New Westminster)

Details: The Vancouver Symphony Orchestra (“VSO”) holiday tradition returns with classic singing and storytelling. This December, join conductor Karl Hirzer and host Christopher Gaze for a night at the orchestra. 

A WONDERHEADS Christmas Carol

Date: December 10, 2021

Location: Massey Theatre (735 8th Ave, New Westminster)

Details: Join the WONDERHEADS for a kid-friendly (ages seven and up) evening at the theatre. Equally whimsical, festive and spooky – this take on A Christmas Carol is sure to be a family favorite. Running time: seventy minutes, no intermission.

O Christmas Tea: A British Comedy

Details: In the mood for a good laugh this holiday season? Purchase tickets for you and your family to see this James & Jamesy outrageously funny Christmas comedy. Watch the trailer here.

The Nutcracker 2021

Date: December 18-19, 2021

Location: Massey Theatre (735 8th Ave, New Westminster)

Details: Royal City Youth Ballet is proud to present the Nutcracker this year. It is a full length, two-act classical ballet with a score by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky and danced by the Royal City Youth Ballet.

Firehall Arts Centre

Solstice Greetings

Date: December 16-18, 2021

Location: Firehall Arts Centre (280 East Cordova St, Vancouver)

Details: The Firehall’s Solstice Greetings returns for a fourth year from December 16-18 to share stories, poems, and songs created by the Grade 6 and 7 students from Lord Strathcona Elementary School in celebration of the holiday season. Ticket info TBA.

Details: Follow Alice’s journey onto the Skytrain with a White Rabbit, down a hole only to find herself in a Grandview-Woodlands Wonderland. This whimsical twenty-first century take on a time-honored production is sure to receive rave reviews. Virtual viewing packages are available. Details: Tickets are now available for a traditional Metro pantomime, Snow White. Join Metro Theatre for their thirty-sixth year of joy, laughter and holiday entertainment. 

Centennial Theatre

Traditional Christmas – VSO

Details: In addition to playing at Massey Theatre, the VSO returns to Centennial Theatre this Christmas with host Christopher Gaze. Tickets are sold directly through the VSO Box Office at (604) 876-3434.

Tchaikovsky’s Nutcracker: Seymour Dance

Vancouver Welsh Men’s Choir

Details: The internationally acclaimed Vancouver Welsh Men’s Choir has been a tradition for almost forty years.
