Whisky & Words for the Vancouver Writers Festival
byEach year the Vancouver Writers Fest hosts a whisky tasting event called Whisky & Words—previously A Dram Come True. Guests enjoy unlimited drams of whisky from distilleries around the world, as well as local craft spirits and beer. They savour delicious food, peruse our silent auction—featuring rare and unique whiskies as well as experiences—and relish in live entertainment by local musicians.

In addition to unlimited pours throughout the evening of the main event, guests will also dine on delicious bites from local Vancouver restaurants. Our silent auction promises to thrill with highlights including a whisky tasting experience at the new Parq Vancouver’s Hidden Lounge at D/6 hosted by one of Vancouver’s top bartenders and the Macallan Edition Series 1-4.
A series of Masterclasses will also take place from 5:30pm to 7:00pm before the event on March 8th. The Masterclasses will range in topics from Women & Whisky to Different Grains, Different Whiskies to BC Tastings. Stay tuned for more details. All event proceeds support education programming.
