Details: Drop off your Christmas tree at Central City (east parking lot) and the Surrey Central Lions Club will chip it! Minimum $5 donation per tree and proceeds go to the Surrey Food Bank.

Where: UBC Botanical Garden (6804 SW Marine Drive)

Details: Suggested donation of $5 is appreciated. Drop off your tree at UBC Botanical Garden. Follow the signs and place your tree behind the orange posts. They will be chipped into mulch and used on garden trails. No yard trimmings – invasive plants from other areas can harm the Garden. Proceeds from this fundraiser will support the SPEC School Gardens Program at Thunderbird Elementary School.

Live, cut Christmas trees will be collected from households with City Green Bin service during the weekend of January 12 to 13, 2019. To ensure pickup, residents should set out their tree by 7:00am on Saturday, January 12, 2019.
You can also bring your tree to the Vancouver South Transfer Station or Vancouver Landfill for free until January 31, 2019.
North Vancouver
Tree Chip for North Shore Rescue & Covenant House
Where: Westview Shopping Centre parking lot (2601 Westview Dr)
When: Saturday, January 5 & Sunday, January 6 from 9:00am to 5:00pm
Details: All money raised will help support the homeless youth in our community – through Covenant House – and North Shore Rescue. Minimum $5 donation. There will be giveaways of free coffee, Mr. Lube car wash and oil change service vouchers/coupons, and gift certificates from Western Tree Services.
Upper Lonsdale Preschool Tree Chip
