It’s fitting that the Sea to Sky Gondola in Squamish, the Outdoor Recreation Capital of Canada, is hosting its 2nd annual Hike Fest event, celebrating its accessible trails and the very best of the great outdoors.

On Sunday, September 13, 2015, Hike Fest will feature guided hikes, kids tours and activities, backcountry info sessions, and special pricing on the new Via Ferrata Climbing Experience at the Sea to Sky Gondola.

  20. Funnily enough, my dream is to be able to do the Via Feretta before I lose the ability to. (I have a rare disease that affects my spinal cord & optc nerve.) The first time I saw a photo of the Via Feretta, I knew this was at the top of my bucket list. I am an avid reader of everything mountaineering & this has inspired me to want to age that experience before it’s too late.

    Needing a wheelchair, my goal has been to find a hike that’s accessible in the mountains, and this looks like it.
