Where to Recycle Your Christmas Tree in Vancouver
byIf you have a live, cut Christmas tree that you will need to dispose of over the next week or so, there are several tree chipping and tree recycling options in Vancouver and surrounding cities for 2015.
Where to Recycle Your Christmas Tree
Green Bin Recycling
In Vancouver you can set out your tree with your green bin. If the City collects your food scraps and yard waste, you can set out your live, cut Christmas tree on collection day by January 31. Remove all decorations and tinsel, lay the tree on its side, 1m away from your garbage and green bins, and leave the tree loose (no bags, string, or rope). If your tree isn’t picked up on collection day, leave it out. The City uses different trucks to collect trees so crews may come later.
