Pemberton Festival Photos Saturday: Snoop Dogg, Deadmau5, The Flaming Lips
bySaturday at Pemberton Festival was the busiest to date on the festival grounds, with crowds well exceeding those that flocked to the stages on previous days. The back-to-back lineup of entertainment on all six stages, including Laugh Camp with some of North America’s most popular comedians, had concert-goers on their feet almost constantly as they shifted from one viewing area (or beer garden) to the next.
The sets were long compared to most festival schedules, there was plenty of food options, many beer garden locations, you could bring your own (empty) bottle on site to fill at the free water stations, and there was even enough room for chairs, picnic blankets, and strollers for families that hung back from the stage on the grass.
John and I had a great time covering the event, catching bands we’ve loved for years, discovering new acts, and traipsing around music-filled a valley between mountains and not caring about how caked in dust our feet would be by the end of the night.

It was a fantastic event…leaps and bounds ahead of the 2008 Pemberton Festival! Very well organized and we couldn’t have asked for a better backdrop to the fantastic sets. I was very impressed. Great job, Huka!
