Win Tickets to Busytown at Carousel Theatre
byVancouver’s award-winning Carousel Theatre for Young People presents Richard Scarry’s Busytown at the Waterfront Theatre on Granville Island from March 1st to March 30th, 2014.
Richard Scarry’s beloved world comes to life in this charming musical! The little ones will love the bright colors, the dance-in-your-seat melodies and the fun costumes!
Join Huckle Cat, Lowly Worm, Betsy Bear and the rest of the gang as we discover and explore what people do all day! Huckle shows us how Farmer Pig and Grocer Cat work together to bring food to the town. Construction Worker and his crew build new houses, and Firechief and the gang keep them safe. Isn’t it wonderful how everyone works together to keep Busytown busy?
Adapted for the stage by Kevin Kling; Based on the book “What Do People Do All Day” by Richard Scarry; Music by Michael Koerner; Lyrics by Kevin Kling and Michael Koerner; Featuring: Devon Busswood, Kayla Dunbar, Dustin Freeland, Meghan Gardiner, Colin Sheen and Allan Zinyk.
Tickets are available online now for this production (ages 3 and up) and there are special all ages performances on March 2nd, 9th, 16th, and 23rd at 10:00am for all ages (babes in arms). There will also be a VocalEye performance on March 9th at 2:00pm with vivid vocal description for blind and low vision audiences.

My oldest son got “Richard Scarry’s Best Story Book Ever” given to him by my sister when he was little. My sister wrote on the inside cover: “Just because I love you. P.S. Your the cutest person on earth xxooo” He was 2 at the time and she was six. Now I read it to my three beautiful little grandchildren and they love it just as much as he did. I would love to be able to take them to this show. (A proud Grandma)
