Pepsi Canucks Super Fans: Prize Pack Giveaway
byThere are hockey fans and then there are super fans, three of which Pepsi has found in Vancouver who all bleed blue, white, and green. Pepsi recently did a photoshoot with three Canucks Super Fans who will be the basis of a billboard campaign in Vancouver. They include Mohan Singh Vinning (PunJohnny Canuck), Amie Nguyen, and The Green Men (Sully and Force).
These fans support the team on the road and at home, dress up, write articles, make videos, and put themselves out there to show their Canucks pride. As a partner of the Canucks since 2012, Pepsi wanted to engage the Vancouver market and put a local spin on their “Live For Now” campaign (which features stars like Beyonce). What better way to embrace the spirit and culture of Vancouver than to showcase passionate hockey fans who embody the “Live For Now” spirit?
To celebrate Pepsi‘s commitment to Canucks Super Fans, I have been offered up a fantastic prize pack to give away that includes:
- A North Face Pepsi Live For Now Jacket
- Pepsi Portable Mini Speakers
- A Pepsi Live For Now t-shirt
- Pepsi & Lays Products
- A pair of Canucks hockey tickets
- A Canucks hockey jersey
- — an approximate value of $700!
The winner will be able to cheer on the Canucks like how PunJohnny Canuck, Amie Nguyen, and The Green Men commit to doing, from the time the first puck drops to when the cup is raised. Here’s how you can enter to win this prize pack:
- Leave a comment here telling of your own “Super Fan” actions or moments (1 entry)
- Post the following on Twitter (1 entry)
I will draw one winner at random from all entries next Friday, March 8, 2013 at 12:00pm. The tickets are for an upcoming regular season Canucks game (March 18, 2013). This contest has been approved by Pepsi and the Vancouver Canucks. Follow Pepsi Canada on Facebook and Twitter – and the Vancouver Canucks on Facebook and Twitter for more information.
Update The winner is Dayna Wilson!

I did a West Coast roadtrip with the Detroit Red Wings one year, followed them to Van/Calgary/Edmonton. Best vacation ever! A kind couple in Edmonton even traded their seats behind the bench with us because they saw us in Red Wings jerseys. Karmic!
Followed the Canucks across BC and into AB for games against the Flames and Oilers, then stayed at a friends’ house in ON to drive down with him for a game against Detroit. Had to drive home pretty much non stop to make it back to catch another game at home lol!
waited hours and hours in a line to meet Trevor Linden!
Waited for players as the left GM place to get autographs!
My fiance is the real Super Fan…he even got me to cheat on my Sens with the Canucks. (Sorry Alfie). This would be a great prize to surprise him with!
I sprinted across downtown to win Canucks tickets. It was awesome.
I grew up watching the Canucks & rarely miss a game. I’ve even turned my Irish fiancé into a fan 😉
My husband watches every single game, no exceptions.
I’ve been to every Canuck game at Rogers arena for the past 18 years!! Go Canucks Go!!
I “got sick” on many occasions at work so I could leave early to watch the games. True story.
Went on the Playoff road trip last year in L.A. and just got back from the road trip where we won in Dallas, (also was @ the only game we won in L.A.) planning more road trips in the future…also was a stanley cup playoff in pacific coliseum in 94 and in 2011 in attendance at the arena…
I have loved the Canucks my whole life from when I was a wee child and have watched them religiously since then.
Lived with Troy Gamble’s folks in Nova Scotia when he played back up goalie here. 🙂
We support the Canucks! Watch the games and cheer them on. We love hockey!
My son and I went crazy watching the finals between the Canucks and Boston on the big screen at Roger’s Arena – it was so exciting we almost forgot we were watching it on the screen and not live!
We were downtown watching the finals – but thankfully left in time!
I’ve been a super fan for over three decades. Go Canucks! I believe in you!
I support the Canucks with a passion. Thanks for the memories!
My husband is a super fan! He rarely missed a game. He has educated me to love hockey as well.
I’ve been a hockey fan my whole life. My young daughter owns several jerseys and can talk hockey….
Love hockey and the Canucks – beyond words!
My sister is a super fan. She loves collecting autographs and getting pictures with the players! I’d love to win this for her!
I switched from being a habs fan in 1981 and have cheered the Canucks through their ups and downs ever since. Plus I tweet the crap out of their news and games.
Here’s a moment: https://twimg0-a.akamaihd.net/profile_images/2115958053/205759_1642241704638_1494716319_1240103_1194939_n.jpg
Life long fan.
I sprinted around downtown Vancouver for tickets last year! That was fun!!
My boyfriend is a die hard super fan and now I’m a huge fan too!
Been a fan for over 30 years! Catch every game, follow every move! Love this team! Go Canucks Go!
Was at my prom and still watched the playoff game against San Jose on my phone instead of partying
I rarely miss watching a game, always have my Canucks shirt on for gameday!
Me & nephew are big Canucks fan, so Iam the lucky Auntie who treats him to some of the Canuck games.Oh yes he says Iam the best Auntie around.
I educated my students from Saudi Arabia about Vancouver Canucks Hockey,
I bought a totally rad Canucks poncho from a street vendor in Mexico for $15 (half off what he was asking!)
I live in Toronto and proudly wear my Canucks jersey to every Canucks vs Leafs game (at the pub — no chance I can pay ACC prices to see the games live) and every Chicago Wolves vs Marlies games (and back in the day, Manitoba Moose vs Marlies games). Angry, bitter, deluded Leafs fans have threatened me with physical violence, oh, about a half dozen times. But their shenanigans can’t keep this Canucks fan down. Go Canucks Go!
Well, I’ve never dressed up like the people in your photo, but that’s not saying I wouldn’t if I had the gear! I watch every game and have been a hockey fan since childhood! This would be an awesome prize to win…fingers crossed! 🙂
Canucks games are must-see TV in our household…we watch every one!
Canucks games helped me during a late miscarriage of twins and the labour of my sons birth. My youngest is now 2 and has been playing hockey in the living room since he was 4 months (I have video). We have super fan genetics!
watch every game to cheer on our Canucks!
made canucks cupcake
Haven’t missed a game on TV in 3 seasons!
Never got off the band wagon, always rooting for them.
Have a Go Canucks Go poster in my office all year round.
My superfan moment includes the whole family! My sons their father and I watch Canuck games religiously! Every game we make home made signs to cheer for our team (even though we are only in our living room). My oldest son (4yrs old) has made his own goalies mask too. Us superfans always sign the National Anthem and do a victory dance when we win 🙂
I love our Canucks! AND Pepsi… okay, one memorable fan moment: While my sister and I visited Seattle, we weren’t going to miss a game! We packed our Canucks towels and dressed up in our finest Canucks gear and cheered on our team with a room full of Seattlelites at a local pub we had sussed out to make sure they were playing the game. everyone was cheering along just as loud as us! So fun!
Leaving the fun NW Pinabll Show in Seattle and heading to a bar to watch one of the Stanley Cup final games.
Many people wait in line for “bigger” names like Trevor Linden or Ryan Kesler, but I remember I went out of my way to wait in line to meet Dave Babych. The mustache is even more epic in person.
went to the canucks store 3 times on 3 separate days during the opening week to get their merchandise
Went to a Bob Dailey autograph session at a sports shop when I was a kid, my brother were the only ones who showed up. It was rather awkward as big Bob bounced tennis rackets off of our heads.
Waited in line for autograph from Trevor Linden and Alex Burrows
I get a txt msg each time the Canucks score
Road trip to see a big game
woooooooooooooooooooooooo

I protect the populace by not wearing green spandex!
Downtown watching the finals, but not getting rowdy!
I went downtown to watch the finals, but headed home when things started going South… I bought my son a jersey before he was even born, and he wears it each gameday!
Watching Canucks winning the Blackhawks in the 7th game of the 2011 Stanley cup at Las Vegas, the 5 canucks fans cheering against over 100 chicago fans !!! GO Canucks Go !!
Both times I’ve met a Canuck (Kesler & Luongo), I have TOTALLY geeked out, probably gave the impression I was more stalker than superfan!
I’ve been a fan since ’93! Back then, I used to plaster all four of my bedroom walls with those free posters from the Province, posters that I bought from Winning Spirit (used to be the team store for official merchandise), stickers, banners, hockey cards…you name it. I now have bare, grown up looking walls 🙂 Still watch or listen to all the games, and will probably never stop!
Our whole family gets together and watches the games at home!!! I’ve been a Canucks fan my entire life and it would be so amazing to get to cheer them on in person!!!
I love the Canucks and have converted many other team’s fans to be Canucks die hards 🙂
I was able to attend the Canucks jersey presentation when they updated the logo!
Never washing my jersey in 6 years
Wearing my ‘nucks shirt, foam hat, foam finger and play off towel at work…and being the only one. Boo!
This would be the most amazing prize to win!!
went to games in phx and ana! really wanna go to one of their away playoff games
Even when they lose, I cheer!
Would love to see the canucks win the cup…
Watching the hockey games live and not on the TV screen was memorable. Lots of ecstatic fans, including me!
I never miss a Canucks game. I go to all the open practices and superskills. I am a forever Canucks Super Fan!
Been a fan since the ’80s. I even mentioned the Canucks in my Gr12 Yearbook write up.
Saw the Canucks when they played Buffalo a few years back in Buffalo.it was amazing to see how many Canucks jerseys were at the game.
Fan through the thick and thin. Probably took me longer to get through my university years because of all the important late season games watched during exam periods.
Met the Canucks at the airport after Game 4 against the Sharks. Got on TV as a result!
My husband is a hockey widower as I am the one watching every game the Canucks play.
Canucks have ALWAYS been my team…even when I lived in Edmonton during the Gretzky era
Can’t afford to go to many games but watch every game on TV. Missed lots of family events, (and upset lots of family!) as a result
Going to a Canucks game even though I was very very sick. Too bad they lost.
Writing a letter to the editor of the Denver Post regarding an article they published during playoffs in which the reporter referred to the Canucks (Many with ‘stylish’ frosted tips at the time) as Princess Dyes.
Over the last couple of years, I have been faced with physical and economical challenges. I have undergone many surgeries and have faced an extreme lack of employment. Still through it all I have managed to emulate Johnny Canuck and the spirit of the Vancouver Canucks.
As a result I have made it into local papers, the web and won tickets to games.
My girlfriend got hit by a car a few years ago and ad major dental reconstruction. Through it all she smiled and wore her Canucks’ jersey with pride.
We truly love our Canucks.
I’ve watched every game since 1995!
When I go to visit my new nephew in the hospital, he is going to get a Canucks onesie!
Waited 1 hour in line last night to meet the Sedins. Was finally 10 people away & the bros left. Instead of being disappointed, my thoughts: ‘they need their rest for tomorrow’s game.’ Go Canucks.
Was doing wedding set-up while tuning in to a Canucks game. Needless to say, set-up took longer than expected, but the Canucks won and the wedding was beautiful.
Waited for 3 hours outside (then called GM Place) to get photos of the team as they left practice from the parking garage.
Went to game 1 of the Stanley Cup playoffs last year. I LOVE The Canucks!
Very cool!
I’ve been a super fan since they made it to the Stanley Cup finals the first time!
I remember going to a meet and greet with Martin Gelinas and was so thrilled!!
I became a fan and even got my parents to become fans. They don’t understand the english but love the game.
Here is my Super Fan cheer: GOOOOOOOO CANUCKS! WWWHHHOOOOOOOOOOO!
I guess my ‘super fan’ moment would be that I’ve been a Canucks fan for more than 20 years. My dad was a fan when I was growing up, so I’ve always watched them. My first real hockey crush was Pavel 🙂
never got off the bandwagon; still a Linden fan. love it when the Canucks are supporting causes in the community.
Have always loved the Canucks. Support them through thick and thin, but have never once seen them play live!! Would love to win.
Watched every game and have everything of Canucks!
I dont need to dress up in gear or do some thing spectacular for me to feel like im a super fan. My dad bought me my first canucks hat when I was 4 years old in 1994. Since then ive been a fan through the ups and downs. Losing my favorite player (Bertuzzi) the retiring of my other (Naslund) watching the playoff runs and failures it doesnt matter. I put on that jersey and I sit at home with the family to watch the game and I always cheer. regardless of the score my team matters to me. Consider it a super fan or not I love this team. They are a part of me.
Would love this!
I am a huge fan because I catch as many games as possible.
I set up a little shrine in our house during the last Stanley Cup run. It had candles and everything!
I basically stop breathing during every Canucks playoff game
My dad got one seasons ticket at center ice in 1970 and sat alone for a few seasons until the second seat became available. Then he got the second seat and brought us to games for our entire childhood. He had to give the tickets up in retirement. Would love to win so I can share with him!
Following canucks in non hockey markets. And pre internet days
Look everywhere for Canuck gear
I dressed my 2 day newborn in canucks onsies, cap, booties while we were still in the hospital.
I watch all hockey games and enter every hockey contest I can find as I cant afford to buy tickets
We watch all the canuck games on TV.
I watch as many of the games on TV that I can.
We were in southern France during the 2011 finals and had could only stream audio of the games, all starting in the middle of the night! Fun but exhausting! We even had champagne chilled for Game 7! Canuck Nation has stick-handled its way around the globe.
Our whole family are superfans of the Canucks. We have a huge print of Trevor Linden hanging on our living room wall to see everyday!
I never let the spirit die even when living overseas a while back.
Always cheering them on! Go Canucks Go!
Fondest memory is of shutting down the grocery store i worked at so we could all watch game 7 vs. the Rangers!
Made a fan sign for the first time in my life for anything and made it onto the jumbotron at a game a couple of times with it!!! Wooooohooooooooo!!!
Whenever I go to games I cheer until I lose my voice!
I`ve never turned my back on them.. and my newborns first gift was a little pair of canucks shoes! I`ve committed to raising the next generation!
Catching every game on TV and cheering for Canucks!
Canucks colours manicure and pedicure; blue streaks for my hair; required Canucks team attire for hubby & me … I even have Canucks-wear for my dog and for birthdays I give Canucks-themed gifts. And of course cheering on the team while catching the games on TV and live when possible.
I watch the games on TV to cheer on the the Canucks and when my children are not able to watch the game, I call them with updates.
When I attend the games I cheer until I no longer have a voice. When I am not able to go to the game I watch in my Canucks jersey and hat whether at home, at a friends or at a local pub/restaurant.
I am a forever fan not just a bandwagon fan. Cheering on my team no matter what!
My new wife and I went straight from the ceremony to the Canucks VS Stars game still in dress and tux.
Who still remembers the the FOX 99.3 Larry and Willy Canucks song starts up as “I am loyal hockey fan I love my Vancouver Canucks, even if they trip and tumble over the puck I love my Vancouver Canucks!!!”
Still a fan even after living with them through the 80’s and 90’s and the gawd awful uniforms.
Dressed head to toe in blue and green with merchandise from the Canucks store and been attending as many home games this year as possible!
We can’t afford to go to the game, so we hang flags in our living room, and taught our three-year-old to say “Go Canucks Go.” (Sounds more like “coconuts go” though!)
I was ringing the cowbells beside the course when Ashleigh McIvor was doing her gold medal run.
Waving my towel on the top of Grouse Mountain
I cheer!
I eat junk food with my dad when we watch a game – its a great excuse!
We have hosted ‘nucks and nacho nights with up to a dozen people in our tiny apartment for Canucks games (especially popular on HNIC nights!)
90s-coloured Canucks socks for every game.
Dyed my hair blue and green and I’m going to get a tattoo to honor the Canucks when they win the Stanley Cup.
followed the canucks down to california for 3 games a couple years ago, also wear my jersey on game days 🙂
When games started at 7:30 and ended at 10:30, which was past my bedtime as a child, I’d listen to the play by play and post game show via Walkman I snuck into my bed. Tired for school but well worth it 🙂
I have to study all the time, but I still make time to always listen to the game on the radio 🙂 It’s super fun and slightly less distracting than TV.
Been a fan for nearly 30 years, and catch most games on TV or radio
Playoff beard grows each and every year
I’ve been a fan ever since I moved to Vancouver!
Turned myself into a Luongo fanboy.
Planned a trip to San Fransisco only because we managed to get Canucks v. San Jose tickets in San Jose this April!!
Actually like and defend Luongo!
My superfan moment was taking some visitors from Australia, who had never seen an ice hockey game to a Canucks game. They had only arrived from an 18 hour flight a few hours before hand and were jet lagged, but we headed down to Rogers Arena. They loved it. They are now superfans. They went home with Canucks jerseys, iPhone covers, soft toys, posters, lanyards, key chains etc etc. They now subscribe to the sports network just to watch the Canucks games live. And they are planning a trip back here to visit in 2014 – they are basing their trip to visit me around the Canucks home games schedules.
Been watching every game since I can remember!
I never miss a game…LOVE the Canucks and always cheer them on!!!
I have been a fan since I moved to Vancouver!
I try to get Fin to visit my classroom & students every year!
I am a true fan that supports the team, thru the good and the bad.
We were downtown during the Stanley Cup Final!
i LOVE the canucks!! my house growing up was always decorated. little orange and black flags everywhere. it was fond memories 🙂
I live right by Rogers Arena and get to soak in the Canucks fandom all the time!
I saw Trevor Linden once in person and was too starstruck to say hello haha!
I’m a “new” fan . . .learning the sport through watching my son play (he’s 9!). So now we watch the canucks together! I recently took him to the SuperSkills!
i decided to buy my condo because i could see a poster of luongo from the bedroom window.
When Burrows slayed the dragon, I was honking on the street like no tomo!
I always wait for the players at the airport!
Woke up early and went to downtown on a day when it was pouring out to try and catch the team after a practice session. Luongo only signed a couple autographs and sadly for us zoomed away, almost driving over my friend’s foot 🙁
When my husband photo bombed the jumbo tron in January all decked out in his cancuck gear.
it was the funniest and best moment ever! we still giggle over it.
I’m always in the streets with pots and pans during the playoffs!
Love the ‘Nucks, love the Sedins. Love the prizepack being offered.
Gosh, it was eons ago back in the days of John Garrett, Harold Snepts – my best friend and I would hunt down all the autograph signing sessions for the Canucks – this was when they autographed at the gas stations. I still have an autograph photo of John Garrett which I have passed onto my son now.
i watch every game without fail, *even* if it means missing WORK. cough cough. 🙂 love the canucks!!
Watching the last games against the bruins in Downtown was awesome!
I use vacation days to watch Canucks Playoffs games. The Canucks always win when I’m in the building, I’m just saying…
I bring any out of town visitors to a Canucks game so they can see the best team in action!
Every time there’s a hockey game I always make sure I get home in time to catch it on tv
My 12 year old son is a super fan! He also plays hockey and does as much hockey related activities as often as he can get away with it at school! For example this year at school they were asked to write a speech about a topic that involved a social issue, he wrote about the NHL lockout. For social studies he had to wrote a report about something of historical importance he wrote about the history of hockey in Canada. He had to write a speech about something good in his life and he wrote about his love for hockey. For Halloween he dressed up as a green man (any 12 year old boy willing to wear a green spandex onesie has to be a diehard)!!
Flunking out of my courses during 2011 play off run. 🙁 Everything still worked out.
I have always been a big fan but I have to say I was a HUGE fan when I was a teenager. We used to go to the arena on practice days and wait for the team bus to come to see the players and get autographs when they got off the bus. I dont know if they even do this anymore but back then it was alot of fun

Waiting hours in line outside the Pacific Coliseum at fan appreciation day then finally meeting them, and do have that moment for life with photos!
I go to the superskills and open practice every year!
I don’t leave the game even though the Canucks are losing, until the game is actually over. Seriously.
I get the Canucks autographs and I have a collection and lots of Canucks autographs memorbilla
I walked around downtown furring playoffs holding a sign that said “Bieksa is a babe and Burrows can bite me anytime” and posed for pictures with fans. One bit me….
race home after work to watch every game for years, never missed a minute!
I have never missed a Canucks game. Even when I was vacationing in Vegas, I stayed in the hotel just to cheer them on! 🙂
I have to say, I’m addicted to the Canucks. Ever since I became a fan, I wouldn’t miss a single Canucks game on tv. No matter what the score is, I’d still be watching it till the game ends. I would also watch all of their interviews/post-game interviews, I’m just really curious in what they have to say. The first thing I do when I wake up is check my twitter and see updates from VanCanucks. I would also go to their fan signings, showing my support by walking around town in my Burrows jersey. The Canucks are pretty much my everything, I just LOVE this team!
My superfan fanaticism: own 5 Canucks jerseys, including new Millionaires. Own enough Canucks shirts to wear a different one for 2 weeks straight. 3 pairs of pjs. 4 scarves. So much memorabilia around my apartment I should charge an entrance fee. Spend every waking moment thinking about my Canucks, how to get to the next game, where I should watch…there’s more but I’m starting to scare myself! Go Canucks Go
I eat and sleep Canucks hockey ever since I was a little kid where games were televised on KVOS-12. Through thick and thin, season after season, heartbreak and hope, I patiently wait for our Canucks to bring home Lord Stanley. My superfan actions include:
-View/Read Posts on Canucks.com forums
-View Canucks Player stats on hockeydb
-Play NHL13 on the PS3 and use the Canucks
-Purchase endless amounts of Canucks jerseys and hats
-Visit all 3 Canucks team stores
-Look for Canucks memorabilia on ebay and craigslist
-Listen to team1040 on pregame and post game analysis
-Drink from my Canucks coffee mug.
-Drink from my Canucks water bottle.
Went to Downtown and cheer for the Canucks during the playoff and almost got into multiple fights with the Bruins fans…
I danced around in the middle of downtown with my Canucks Jersey for a chance to win Canucks Tickets!
My superfan action is that I never miss a game on TV, sad to say haven’t been able to see them live 🙁
I never miss a game!
Naming our Red Irish Setters Henrik & Daniel!
I watch the games with my gf – she converted me!
My sister and I watch the games from home cheering so loudly that my neighbour gets concerned.
My husband, brother and I grab our Timmies before the puck drops then we settle in …then game on!! I make sure the kids are occupied as well 😉 Go Canucks!!
Canucks flags on the car and Province posters all over the house during the playoffs.
I wear the tshirt! Would love a jersey!
waited soo long to meet alex burrows and i followed the canucks to Detroit.
Waited in line for hours to get an autograph from Kevin Bieksa!!
It was the first North American team I ever followed upon migrating here
I own 5 jerseys and have worn them all at the same time before for good luck.
My brother and I are huge fans and my super fan moment is being out and supporting local businesses while watching the best team ever!
When people say they don’t like hockey…I force them to watch games with me until they do!
