Surrey Libraries Festival of Trees 2012

Comments 1 by Rebecca Bollwitt

The Surrey City Centre Library kicks off the Festival of Trees this afternoon. Until December 19th, a selection of creative and beautifully decorated trees will be on display and the public is invited to stop by and vote for their favourite. When you vote, you also have the chance to win an e-reader!

The launch event is happening today from 3:00pm to 6:00pm and you can watch as decorations go up on each tree. Decorators are competing for $500 from Potters. There will also be hot chocolate, carols, stories, and more.

Every Thursday the library will have free Christmas programming until the end of the festival. Vote for your favourite tree, enjoy free entertainment, and check out the gigantic Lego Christmas tree constructed by Canadian Master Lego Builder Robin Sather.

Follow Surrey Libraries on Facebook and Twitter to learn more about the Festival of Trees and other holiday programming like free movies.

The Surrey City Centre Library is located at 10350 University Drive in Surrey, right by the Surrey Central SkyTrain station.
