Yaletown is turning into CandyTown this weekend with a free outdoor Christmas festival to kick-off the holidays. Presented by the Yaletown Business Improvement Association, CandyTown can be found on Mainland between Davie and Nelson.
Stop by on Friday, November 23rd from 3:00pm to 9:00pm and from 12:00pm to 9:00pm on Saturday, November 24th. CandyTown will feature a visit from Santa on Saturday from 1:00pm to 5:00pm, horse-drawn carriage rides, the Christmas Street Market, games and music, a self-guided cocktail sipping tour, and more.
There will be free skating at the Scotiabank Yaletown Skating Rink during both Friday and Saturday’s festivities. You can book skating time with Trevor Linden as well by signing up at Scotiabank Yaletown where he will also make an appearance at 12:00pm and do an autograph session from 1:00pm to 3:00pm.
Local charities will be at the event and the public will have the opportunity to support the Greater Vancouver Food Bank, BC Children’s Hospital and Starlight Starbright Children’s Foundation on site. The Donnelly Foundation will also have a Toy Drive tent, soliciting donations for their annual toy drive for kids in need.
