Fiona Apple in Vancouver at the Orpheum
byCelebrating the launch of her first album in seven years, Fiona Apple is now on tour and will be making a stop in Vancouver on July 24th. The Grammy Award-wining singer/songwriter
In 1999 she held the record for longest album title name with When the Pawn… which contained over 400 characters and although the record has since been broken, her new album’s title is also a poem:
The Idler Wheel is wiser
than the Driver of the Screw
and Whipping Cords will serve you more
than Ropes will ever do.
Two singles from The Idler Wheel so far include “Every Single Night” and “Anything We Want”. Tickets for Fiona Apple at the Orpheum are currently on sale through Live Nation online and by phone (1-855-985-5000) for $39.50, $55, and $75. The show is all ages and there is reserved seating.

My boyfriend and I LOVE Fiona Apple so much, but we can’t afford to buy tickets as we’re saving to go on our charity bike ride, 2k miles across the states in August to Beat Blood Cancer – fingers crossed we can win some tickets 🙂

I saw the last 15 minutes of FA when she was an opening act some time ago. It was “sit up and take notice” time, and she created a real buzz in the audience. I would love to see her entire show.

Rebecca, sorry to bother you – would that be Eileen (me) or Eileen O (not me)?
@Eileen, it’s you! I sent you an email a few days ago. I’ll re-send it now.
Rebecca
Concert Review: It was unspeakably great! Fiona brought all her passion and vulnerability to the Orpheum last night. Her live performance is much different from her latest album The Idlers Wheel(which is reflective and subdued). She is bluesy, jazzy, rocking and the music has so many complex levels of sound and meaning. It took my breath away. Truly an unforgettable night, which I owe all to Rebecca. Thank You!!
