Wild Pacific Trail Photowalk
byThis morning John and I set out from Black Rock Ocean Front Resort to explore a small portion of the Wild Pacific Trail in Ucluelet. We walked the brisk Lighthouse Loop which is about 2.5km long, winding through wind-swept forest trails along the ocean’s edge.
I used my Olympus PEN E-PM1 for this photowalk instead of my Nikon D90. John’s photos (as marked) are with his Nikon D90. View my full photo set on Flickr & John’s full photo set on Flickr.

I was there 4 time….truly magical
This is an extremely nice trail, and a welcome addition to Ucluelet. We walked a portion of it a couple of years ago, and look forward to doing the whole route this spring.
This will be on my to do list.
what an absolutely georgeous walk !! I sure do hope I can make that hike ;))
There were people of all ages on the trail. It’s really nice and wide, enough for 3-4 people shoulder-to-shoulder. Lots of places to stop, sit, look out on the water. It’s beautiful!
I’ve been there once and I don’t understand yet what I’m doing living in Toronto…
Most beautiful place ever.
Wow…how beautiful…now I HAVE to go there, I can’t wait !! Thank you !!
My favorite places in the world are in the Ucluelet/Tofino area. I feel so blessed to be lucky enough to live on Vancouver Island. Don’t get to the coast near enough for my liking. Thanks for sharing those great pictures!
