Save The Rio Events February 2012
byEarlier this month the Rio Theatre obtained their liquor license so that they could host 19+ events (performances, comedy, concerts) with bar service. The celebration was short-lived as they soon realized that they could no longer also screen movies, at any time of day, if they had that license in place. The movie house had to shut down its projectors and as a result, the community has rallied in support of the Rio to hopefully change the out-dated provincial liquor laws.
