Theatre Profile: Stripes: The Mystery Circus

Comments 11 by Rebecca Bollwitt

This week’s Theatre Profile and ticket giveaway features Stripes: The Mystery Circus – a “radically unique one woman show celebrating the comic circus of life.”

Stripes: The Mystery Circus is a play about an audition that humorously and touchingly goes awry. Stripes is a delightful theatrical spectacle that invites you to “map your imagination, chart your emotional life, sculpt your fears, paint your dreams…locate yourself.”

The performance is by Sarah Hayward who has actually been invited to the International New York Fringe Festival this summer. This is a great opportunity to see her in Mystery Circus before she goes.

Engagement: Friday May 28th & Saturday May 29th at 8pm, Sunday May 30th at 2pm
Location: Moberly Arts & Culture Centre (7646 Prince Albert Street, Vancouver)
Information: Words and Music by: Sarah Hayward
Tickets: $15 (adults) and $10 (students)

You can read Sarah’s blog for more information about her and the performance as well.

Sounds cool. I’ve actually been meaning to start going to some of the inexpensive theater programming around the area. Maybe even go down to Granville Island and see some of the buskers down there (A good idea for another article :))
