Stanley Cup Comes to Town

Comments 1 by Rebecca Bollwitt

Actually, it’s going to tip some cows in Duane’s hometown of Chilliwack.

The Stanley Cup pays Chilliwack a visit [today], appearing at Cottonwood Mall along with Anaheim Ducks general manager, and Chilliwack Bruins co-owner Brian Burke.

Starting from Dakota’s Restaurant at 11:30 a.m., Burke and the Stanley Cup will be joined by a number of RCMP officers who will escort him to the Mall.

Burke and the Stanley Cup will be stationed next to Rogers Wireless from noon until 3 p.m., signing autographs and posing for pictures. [Chilliwack Progress]

It’s pretty bittersweet, as I’m sure we’d all love to see the Canucks parading down Robson with the prize hoisted above their heads, but Chilliwack… close enough. For now.
