We Want The Cup, Surrey Delta Style
byThanks to Dave for tipping us off about this, the Go Canucks site has the BEST video of Game 7 jubilation around.
Robson Street is for Pussies – Check out what the cops had to deal with at Scott Road & 72nd in Delta/Surrey
First I have to say thank you to Rob for posting this and noting it’s Surrey AND Delta since Scott Rd and 72nd is in fact the border.
This video is not of people in Vancouver, driving down the shmoozy Robson Street. It’s on a busy street corner in the suburbs, where hundreds of people were out celebrating when the Canucks beat the Stars last week to enable them to move on to round two of the playoffs.
If you live in Vancouver, this will give you chills. If you don’t live in Vancouver… you have to know the heart of this team’s fans is not solely located in the downtown core – it’s everywhere.

It’s entirely easy to forget the inevitability, that the population for the city of Surrey will eventually exceed that of the city of Vancouver.
Perhaps, in the end, revenge just takes a little bit of time.
This is exactly the way it was after beating the Blues in 2004. I was right in the middle of it last time. It was an amazing feeling. Considering the size of the crowd, it really looks like they were fairly well behaved again!
Great find!
After game 7 we had a designated driver drive us around town. We screamed at any passerby that we came across!
The headache and sore throat the next day were completely worth it!
