Catch at Nat Bailey
How about a catch? Bring your own ball and glove to Nat Bailey Stadium, home of the Vancouver Canadians, for the annual Father’s Day Catch at the ‘Nat.
Historic Stewart Farm
Spend Father’s Day at Historic Stewart Farm. Get the family together at this gorgeous farm along the tidal river in South Surrey where you can enjoy train rides courtesy of the Pacific Trackless Trains, food from McGuire’s Patty Wagon food truck, games, and activities on the lawn, and lemonade on the farmhouse verandah.
Street Hockey
Play On!, the world’s largest street hockey tournament and sports festival will be at Coquitlam Centre the whole weekend (at Lincoln SkyTrain station). Register your team before June 12th for this fun four-on-four street hockey tournament that aims to help kids feel like NHL pros, and adults feel like kids again.
BC Place Tours
Visit the BC Sports Hall of Fame, the home of the BC Lions and Whitecaps FC all in one during an all access tour of BC Place scheduled on Father’s Day.

Stopping by for a BC Place tour? Stick around the BC Sports Hall of Fame between 10:00am to 5:00pm. Every admission on June 18th gets a free ticket to an upcoming Vancouver Canadians game! Relive some of BC sport’s greatest moments in the Hall of Champions and Best of BC Galleries, experience the 2010 Olympic Games all over again & take a photo on a real Olympic podium. Celebrate local our local teams, sports history, and if you still have energy – run, jump, and play in the Participation Zone.
TheatreSports
Laugh with dad! Get tickets for the Vancouver TheatreSports Super Dad Show on June 18th. The SuperDad Show pokes fun at all the foibles and complexities of what it means to be a father today. Ticket price is only $20 and includes the show PLUS either a glass of House Wine or Beer on Tap.
Wine & Swine
Does dad like wine and slow-roasted meats enjoyed at picnic tables? Book a ticket to the Father’s Day Wine & Swine at Township 7 Winery in Langley. This pairing event will include 3 new wine releases paired with bacony bites. This pork event will be prepared and served by the Water Shed Arts Cafe.
Car Free Day
Check out free community celebrations, some 10-20 blocks long, in neighbourhoods around the city during Car Free Day Vancouver. Live music, food, vendors, family activities and more will create a festival atmosphere on Main Street and at Kitsilano block parties on June 18th.
Pancake Breakfast
As a part of Lynn Valley Days, there’s a pancake breakfast at Lynn Valley Field at 10:00am. Afterward, enjoy rides, cotton candy, face painting, live music, dancing, food, bouncy castles, contests, community exhibitors and more with the family.
Fishing Derby
Take part in some free, fishy fun for the whole family at the annual Lafarge Lake Fishing Derby. Freshwater Fisheries Society of BC will be stocking Lafarge Lake in the morning with rainbow trout, so chances are high of reeling in a fish. Experts will also be on site teaching new techniques.
Playland
Dads get in FREE at Playland on June 18th from 10:00am to 12:00pm, giving them unlimited access to over 30 rides and attractions.
